Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Hello…DH took the afternoon off so after he did a couple jobs here we took the dogs to a park, walked on a couple trails, and there was plenty of equipment to refresh their urban/outdoor agility skills…then to the farm store, pet supply store, and DQ for chicken strips (me) and ice cream/pup cups. DH just left for a grilled steak meal at a club he belongs to, they’ll eat outside. I’m just going to relax now.
A good day for you Lynn. You didn’t want grilled steak, or was it just for members? The dogs had a good day too. Fun with agility and pup cups. Enjoy your relaxing time.
You had a busy day, nice you can relax now.
