Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Been raining since yesterday; so dark/dreary. Chuck got home around 11a, lookin’ a little beat up from all the fun. 😎 He seemed ‘lighter’; I’m so glad. 💖 They got Cody’s son Noah/Jamie and their boys on Zoom from S.Carolina so they could enjoy the pumpkin carving on Friday night and again some of the party when they got home from the Coffin Races in Manitou Spgs. on Saturday afternoon. There were vendors but we didn’t plan on eating there. Rick is grilling burgers as we speak of course I got popcorn it was free I had two little bags and a free water They’re the fun house they’re always decorated for Halloween and they have free popcorn did you see the popcorn machine and they offer free water bottles too cold no less cold no less.
I also wanted to tell you that I found out Mitzi has a punk band and they only get together and perform like once a year

Good evening….I didn’t do a lot today, did take the dogs for a walk and let Bane play in the sprinkler…DH came home sometime before 6…there’s a lot of stuff in that building. He said a couple people stopped by who knew his brother. We just went to Aldi for a few things and pizza is cooking now on the pizza cooker. The moon is so pretty tonight.

I have trouble seeing the moon. Jo shuts the curtains and then it gets in a position I need to go to the garage door to have a chance to see it.
Just open them and tell her why-you want to see the moon the howl at her😂 because its a full moon😂

What a sweet story. I think the custodian of an elementary was retiring. They had her at a school board meeting I guess. They told her to roll out this red carpet. She thought it was her retirement gift. On the carpet was her name and elementary school. She didn’t know what it meant at first. The whole school was being named for her. A permanent thing. The school had just being called #5. They showed a picture of the school with her name on the building. Everyone was crying including me.
