Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.
I took out probably 1/4 of it. Good grief. No Mac n cheese, Casey will probably eat most of that. I may have to freeze it because he already had some.
I know this sounds insane, and i told him this was not going to work. 😏 In May, Noah got a job at Boeing in S.Carolina; which is exciting until you realize they have absolutely No One to help, no family, no friends. And for some families that’s fine; not ours; we don’t do well being isolated like that. He’s got about 20 applications to get back here. 🙄 Hope it can happen before Christmas 🌲 Never thought I’d say this, but i am so glad I’m old 😊
I’m trying to figure this out. So he got at job at Boeing and wants to quit, get another job in Colorado? So he is no longer in the Navy. Boy, things move fast. Koda is not quite 3 yet I think, and here Noah has 3 kids!
Ditto on your last statement, Pam. So glad! 😁
