Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

all of a sudden I feel tired…I’m sure from the search and all that …going to sit on the couch for a bit…still have to vacuum but waiting for DH to cut the cats’ claws, fun
maybe I didn’t say but it took maybe 15-20 minutes to get the dog and into the car…glad she finally let me pick her up.
😘
You stuck with it and she was like OK I will trust you, I think the blanket would of been the hardest
That was a long 15 or 20 minutes, I’m sure. In the long run, probably the best 15 to 20 minutes you’ve ever spent. I don’t even want to think about what would have happened if you hadn’t shown up and rescued her.
Lynn, your adrenaline was surging; when it settles, you get tired. I’m sending you a cape
😍
I didn’t know cat’s claws had to be cut also.
Hello, I really haven’t been doing much of anything today. I did give myself a pedicure and polish my toenails this morning. Rick took my car to the car wash because he had a free coupon for a free car wash only which he drives it through . Anyway, when he brings it home then I go out and kind of wipe it off where it didn’t get wiped off. Real good and I noticed scratches on the hood and we all know where those came from… Roger, so I have just ordered a car cover. It might be a… Read more »
Kia cover i ordered
does your car get really hot in the heat since it’s black?
Its slate grey but, still dark.
It doesnt matter what color your car is in Tucson in the summer, they all get hot.
Very nice Ardy. I’m so glad Isaiah is better.
Thats an awesome cover😍even has reflectors😘
Yes it does and not expensive
You have a Kia SUV? I got a Kia the very first year they came out. A sedan was the only style available. Couldn’t beat the price anywhere. It did great! The only problem I had was that parts and repair were expensive, since they were foreign parts. The timing belt on my Kia cost me $1, 200 to repair. The timing belt on my Ford Escort cost me $182 to repair. Geezo-Schmeezo! I’m thinking it has probably gotten better over the years.
Ardyth, glad he’s feeling a bit better {{HUGS}}
Smart to cover your car Ardyth sun can cause a lot of damage inside and out, Rogers nails are sharp😯 not sure who Osaiah is but glad He’s doing better nice to hear good news😘
My old KIA has sun damage on the right side that gets the sun and it will happen to this one so I am glad I bought it.
I bought a dash cover to protect it, I have bought those for all my cars here in AZ
I’m so glad to hear that Isaiah is doing much better. Thanks for the follow-up.
I’m still emotional …so glad we found her, I was so worried!! you wouldn’t believe..or maybe ya’ll would…she is the sweetest little thing…
I must have missed what you’re talking about
What are you talking about? Did I miss something?

You are MY hero!

They are easier😘
But aren’t they more sour?
I’ve only had sweet ones.
I’ll remember that next time. Thanks.
but maybe you’d like the oranges better, don’t know..get what you think would be best.
The little halos are very sweet; Dad loved those things
Thanks Pam.

Good afternoon…so this morning I had just sat down with my coffee and was looking at my IPAD…started reading this post and I’m like oh no…saw a picture of a dog and her name and knew the dog..then read the post…the lady I walk with was out of town with her DH and kids..her dog was at her sister’s…the sister let her out to pee at 1 a.m. and the dog took off so was out all night! and it was bitter cold..my mom and I drove around near where the sister lives (she doesn’t have a car and is… Read more »
a neighbor guided me down the steps, couldn’t see with the dog in front of me…went to the car and he opened the door for me…got in and shut the door…..whew!!!! she was in and safe..snuggled her in my arms and held her, I’d been texting with the owner whose DH was on the way…waited maybe half an hour or so and at first she was really shaking (cold but maybe also a bit scared) and finally stopped shaking so much…it’s a miracle that she went all the way back to her home and so glad I found her.
Lynn what a nail bitter story, so glad you went to look for her😍 she might not of survived another night outside and smart little girl she went home. This is a Christmas Miracale💖
OMGoodness Lynn; you’re the best 💕 that’s terrifying; that poor little dog and her mom/dad {{HUGS}} all around
Oh WOW LYNN. What a story. How far apart were the sister’s house and the dog owner’s house? You did SO GOOD! I’m sure your efforts saved that little sweet dog’s life and your walking friend will be eternally grateful. I bet the little dog knew the big dog.
maybe 20 minutes? not sure but that’s when the owner said
20 minute walk? That is a lot. Maybe that is where her mama and little dog usually walk. Is your friend home now to be with the dog?
no, coming home tomorrow…dog back at her sister’s and will only take her out on a leash now. I don’t think they go that way very often, walking..more in the car, but maybe once in awhile, think I’ll ask her
