Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

KY pulled it off even though WI always seemed to have the momentum. 5 set match down to the wire. Both teams did great. Volleyball is fun to watch.
Sent you a post below. Volleyball is fun to watch, and play. One more set to go. Nite. 😘
Both teams played great!!! made it exciting to watch😘 Both teams had good players even matched
I am going to sign off for the night and try to get something to eat and go to bed. I hope everyone has a wonderful night’s sleep. Talk to y’all tomorrow. 🤗😘
Good night Karen I hope you eat good, sleep soundly. 🥰♥️
Thank you Debbie. Congrats on the game. What a squeaker! I won’t mention it to you know who. 😉😥 I’ll talk to you tomorrow. You sleep good too. Night night. 😘😍
i already said it! Thanks Karen, it was a really exciting match. I really hope you can get a good night’s sleep. Love you, I’m heading to my bedroom now. Oh, I want to post a photo first at SWFL.
Great, I will go check. Love you. Thanks again for all the pictures, really saved me from having to go find everything. Mwah!
The person of interest in the Brown University shooting has now been found deceased. This has all been unfolding in Salen NH since around 7:30pm. Details are just starting to be released. Not sure if he was also connected to the MIT professor’s murder. He was it has been confirmed.
I guess probably suicide. Thanks for the info Gem. I’ve been watching a volleyball game and the SWFL eagles both, and chatting. Not doing either one of those very good.
Yes. by suicide. He was 48 years old. Because the search ended up with 3 different states, RI, MA, NH it started to get a bit crazy with info when the latest started coming on air tonight. Connections have been found but still wrapping up final details.
Thanks for the update Gem. Maybe those people in RI can sleep better tonight.
Yes they can. As sad as this has been for everyone, it will be interesting to know what reason made him to do what he did. He and the murdered MIT professor where from the same town in Portugal and I think both went to Brown, but I’m not sure if it was at the same time as there was a 6 year difference in age. The neighborhood cams really helped in getting some info that was able to track him down.
Thank you GEM. I have also been watching the SWFL eagle nest. Excitement! One eaglet just hatched, and the other one already working on hatching. I tried to send you a pm, but I don’t think your account is set up for it.
Hi KM, hope you did get to bed and are resting peacefully. I’ll have to go check the pipped and the pipped to be. I have gotten PM’s from others. I’ll make sure to come on tomorrow and if you are here we can see what is up with not being able to get to me. Hope DH doesn’t mess around with the newest foot issue.
🤣😅🤣 pipped and pipped to be. Had me rolling on the floor! I’m on my way to bed now. Just finished eating. I would like to be able to reach you via PM, so it would be good to figure that out tmrw. 🤔 Regarding DH, I can only hope and gripe. Thanks for all the info you provided re MIT/Brown. Hope you have a nice sleep tonight. Talk to you tomorrow. 🤗
Just seeing all this, this morning
Hello … 🤗 I fell asleep sometime early afternoon today, I think. Was up and down all night last night watching for the little eaglet to arrive and couldn’t sleep. So, I missed all of the excitement today, but did see all of the great pictures that were taken so far. So now I will have something to eat and settle down for the night and maybe go to bed early, if I can. 🥴 So, absolutely nothing going on here.
Hi Karen. It never pays to stay awake waiting on a baby. You can always rewind. But it is here now. We won’t see much of it until the morning, then just as luck will have it.
I agree Debbie, but I don’t do it intentionally. I just get excited and then I can’t sleep. It’s always that way with me when I’m waiting on a baby. Right there in the delivery room or nest with ’em. 😄
😁. You need something to help you sleep but NOT put you out for 24 hours!
Yeah, I know. I’ll let you know when I find it. 😅
I’m getting under the covers I’m chilled and not much chat happening going to warm up and eat dinner and feed Jade
It is definitely cold, Julie. I always get really cold to my bones in the winter time. I usually have the oven on in the kitchen all the time, and the heat as high as I can get it without being too high. And a jacket on. And then I complain in the summer because it’s too hot. Old age? I hope you and Jade sleep well. 😘😍
I seldom complain about the heat! I save my allotment for complaining for cold.
Good that you can do that. I literally wilt in the summer. I just drag and am worthless and have no energy. Then in the winter, I can’t do enough to stay warm. Just a hokey situation. I guess I should be staying in a small apartment somewhere, where I can turn up the heat or the cool anytime I want without it being too expensive or taking forever to adjust. So, it’s my own fault, I just have to go with it. But I have to complain also. 🤣
You complain all you want! You just won the jackpot of complaining allotments. It is huge.
Good to hear. 😄 I’m usually fine for a while, once I get it out of my system. I just bumble around like little old Scrooge, mumbling to myself. My husband is the one that should be complaining, actually. He is constantly having to either take off his shirt, or go outside in Sub-Zero weather to cool off or get warm. Doesn’t say a word, just does it. A nice thing.
So he has his good points.
Are you watching the game, Debbie? I have been over at SWFL, I didn’t realize that the bobblehead had been freed. I got caught up with things and I’m now going to eat and then go to bed early. I did want to mention that you took some really beautiful pictures today. Especially the first one showing the egg split in half and showing the eaglet.
Thanks Karen. I just got back from SWFL. I took another photo. I think the second egg is hatching. I’ve got the game on the tv but have been busy at the nest. My supper is beside me getting cold.
You are doing a great job with those pictures. I really do appreciate them. I can’t believe the two eaglets so close together.
You are sweet Karen.
Thanks Debbie, but I’m serious. You are doing some great photo work.
It is my turn to contribute.
Everyone has been busy in Florida. Good night Moonbow, stay warm inside and out. So glad we got some good news from Judy. Don’t forget to eat. Hugs for Jade. 🥰♥️
@KyDebbie honey here’s the latest radar for strong line winds
Thanks Julie. Hope it doesn’t put a tree on the house.
Oh, wouldn’t that be terrible? I’ve had a couple of small aspens fall this year from the wind.
Good grief glad they were small.
Oh my goodness, yes. It gets so windy here sometimes, we bite our nails, wondering if this will be the time it happens.
You have big trees close to your house. Hope they never fall!
Boy I can sure tell the temp has dropped I’m cold, its very windy and under a winter storm warning
