Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Something I’m actually for. Reclassifying marijuana to a lower level. I felt this way since the late 1970’s when I worked in the mental health clinic.

So will the banks! Right now, they aren’t allowed to open accounts with weed as the business. And all that cash in the shops is just ripe for being stolen; it’s awful.

I thought some states worked that out with the banks? like the first ones to legalize it.

Nothing is worse than frozen water, not of the white kind. At least snow has some traction.

Good morning..very windy day and the rain and melting snow will freeze later…hope it’s not too bad for DH and the caregivers. Last night a group from my mom’s church went caroling to 10 places including a couple nursing homes..last was FIL’s house..not sure how well he heard it but seems he enjoyed it..my mom went along with the carolers. I’ll do some cleaning today and we might go out later to the grocery store for coffee and I need to get Lindt peppermint squares. I’ve been enjoying Tim Janis’ music videos..beautiful piano music to nature scenes..there are even owls…sometimes… Read more »

I haven’t heard but she probably did…FIL hardly has any hearing left and he had an ear infection..DH took him to urgent care and I didn’t know if he’d get back in time for the carolers..I would have texted the leader of the group if not.

I just talked to Judy and her Mom had a good night her heart rythem is back in order, antibiotics are working 😍 also my Dad is not having the cateract surgery today, bad weather up north, they are rescheduling it. I was so worried about my Mom driving today-my brother was going to drive back up north to take him to this appointment but needed to get work done on the truck yesterday. So I might get to go home for Christmas😘

Good news about Judy’s mom. I wonder if she has ongoing episodes of AFIB. If not, she probably doesn’t have true AFIB but a heart arrhythmia brought on by the stress her body was putting on the heart. Does she believe in vaccinations? Like pneumonia, RSV? I’m glad your parents rescheduled the surgery, sounds like a bad time for it. Good news, I bet you do get to go north for Christmas. You know Gery will want to go. I hope the truck doesn’t need a lot. If Gery doesn’t go I bet that will be the reason.

people with AFIB have good rhythm a lot. That is why I went so many years without being diagnosed. They did EKGs but it would always be good. They just didn’t catch it when I was having it. When my doctor did see it she sent me directly to ER. I bet though that the AFIB had got worse.

I don’t think she regularly has AFib, not sure if she’s on medication for it? it happened at night from what she’s going through brought it on

Good chance of that. And there are more than one type of AFIB. And other arrhythmias that aren’t true AFIB.

Good morning Bella Buds. Cloudy and 54. A little cooking, a little laundry today. I bought some wild caught Pacific salmon at Walmart I’m gonna cook. I’ll have to check to see what Casey might need through Sunday. So, just this and that. Y’all have the best day possible. I hope we have a new bobblehead in SWFL today.
