Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good evening…I’ve been cleaning today, will do more tomorrow. I’m a person who doesn’t like plans to change suddenly and it stresses me out…anyway…so DS is maybe staying in town longer…we and my family made plans thinking he’d be here 1 1/2 days..so will have to see what others want to do now..if we’ll keep it all the same, change one thing or two, don’t know. I am truly sorry Lynn. I can be like that in a smaller way. I’m not good with spontaneous. Is your son already there, or you just know he plans to stay longer. That actually sounds like a good thing to me, staying longer. Does he stay with you or elsewhere? I hope it turns out ok for you. I can loose some sleep when I’m just thinking of ordinary things. I find if I write things down so I don’t have to worry about forgetting it helps, and I feel more organized.
his friend will also be here, don’t think he’ll stay here but who knows..I just have so many things on my mind as it is..things change daily with FIL…the dogs can be stressful even without people…big job coming up….really this time of year I don’t like to be around people that much…and I’m always better just on my own schedule. Hard to explain I guess and don’t want to go into it all….but sometimes things are hard with DB and SIL also…things just stress me out. I’ll have to go in a room to just breathe sometimes, I guess..
I’m like that too Lynn, I like doing my own schedual be on my own time-I like being alone at times. Breathing is good😘
Lynn I really do understand, and I know you have an extra stressor, just don’t know the source, who causes it. I’m sorry about your FIL. I didn’t quite have that stressor because my Mom spent the last few years in assisted living and a few months in a nursing home. So it was never a 24 hour a day situation. I had to take off a lot of work, make emergency trips.

I just have a lot of things already that stresses me so on top of that, Christmas, people, DS..it’s just more and difficult for me.
Don’t sweat the small stuff and accept the things you have no control over try not to take on to much it takes a lot of work to make people happy and you count as one too💖wear PJ’s LOL😃

Oh no, Lynn. I feel so bad for you. Not a good feeling to be stressed out and not able to relax. Are you able to watch something on TV that will maybe get your mind off of things? Sometimes that works for me. Sometimes not. I really hope you start feeling better. Maybe a hot bath and a good tea? You will be in my prayers tonight.🙏🌹
The hatch is almost complete in FL. Shell almost in half but camera angle sometimes doesn’t show it good.
I saw a video from a couple of hours ago and the egg was like cracked in half, thought that eaglet would of fallen out of the egg by now😍
I think the shell is in two pieces, but could be hinged by membrane. He may be out by now, it is hard to get a good look.
The membrrane can dry and shrink and be sticky it will get out, I heard it peeping😍
It probably is out now but the opportunities to see are limited. I’m not going to watch constantly.

Hi Pam. Every year I tell myself to get an early start on the cards and every year I fail. One of my cards I used another version of a person’s name inside the card. I decided I’d use white out but didn’t have any, so I just tore it in half. I hate to mess up a card or envelope because you have the same amount of each. But 😁. You did it twice! Funny toon, ain’t that the truth.
I’m just glad it was Diana’s card; we’ve been friends for over 65 years.
