Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Good late morning….last night we ate DH’s spaghetti, that’s what his concoction became…think it was some kind of ground sausage, pasta sauce, onion, green peppers, garlic, on angel hair pasta. My sister and DS both ate with us..afterwards my sister and I watched A Christmas Carol…this morning DH came home early to cook his special eggs but DS had already left early for Wisconsin again…going to run there. My sister and mom are going to visit our aunt and uncle today…later DH and I have a meal with church friends, Christmas eve service (hoping my sister will go with me),… Read more »
Hi Lynn sounds like you and your family have a fun, packed day. When you said your son left early for WI and was going to run there, at first I took it that he was going to run from your house to WI! My jaw probably flew open! 😳 🤣. Then I realized surely he was driving there and going to run somewhere while there! Now that would not have crossed my mind for anyone else but YOUR SON! 😁.
‘Your husband’s spaghetti sounds so good. I love spaghetti. Enjoy all your activities today.
lol…well he did run ACROSS Wisconsin a few years ago…I guess he’s meeting up with some runners there.
Lynn did you see I PM’d you?
yes, I’ll answer
Hi Lynn
I dont know how you do it! On the go all the time….🤶
Maybe you and your DH could eat with DS instead but, too late now I guess.
I’m mostly home, though…especially in the winter..but guess I do go with my sister some days when she’s here..normally I only go out once a week for dinner at FIL’s or with DH somewhere..run a few errands on Saturday, and don’t do much on Sunday in the winter.
I’m home all day today until the meal, haven’t gone the last couple years but we were invited…will mostly be home tomorrow all day unless we go to FIL’s later, don’t know
instead? he hasn’t come back and don’t know when he will..or do you mean tomorrow? if so, he’ll most likely accept their offer, especially if they have something really good..we might just have pizza here.
instead of the people you are eating with. It doesnt seem like you see him much.
oh tonight? I accepted, no idea if DS will be here, he comes and goes…and we turned them down last year and possibly the year before…we didn’t even know DS was going to be here this long so…anyway, no guarantee he’d be here anyway
Oh no! It’s not fun to miss a Christmas meal with your child. 😥 I’m sorry, Lynn.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra: Ghosts of Christmas Eve is playing at 7 CT. I can’t say if it is being broadcast nationwide but imagine it is adjusted for time zones.
I couldn’t find them on here, Debbie.
