Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Gorgeous. Pam, the change to Jewel’s nest and bye bye to Olive happened when I wasn’t on as frequently. Will they show Olive again sometime? Also wondering is Jewel’s nest in the same area or is Jewel’s nest from a different locale and host?
This is the same yard that Olive lives in. Cam-owner will keep an eye out for the best location for any nest activity during the season. So we could get Olive again or whichever female claims a nest where a cam is. It has to timed just right, they don’t want to bother the nest once she’s started incubating

I’ve been cold ever since I got home. Cute cartoon. That ghost looks naked. I was in bed last night, not asleep and something hit my bedroom window! I got up and didn’t see anything. Maybe it was a nocturnal bird? Or maybe a daytime bird that got spooked or something……..or maybe a ghost!

🤣. Yes I know about lowering state income tax and I don’t like it at all. It is bad for me but it won’t matter really to me. It will affect low income people the most, that is what I don’t like. Most of those people are not well educated and are probably happy with it. Whoopie they think. That is because they really don’t understand the dynamics.
