Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Julie, have you considered just calling the hospital directly, asking for the nurses station and the nurse in charge of your Dad’s care. You have the right to do that as his daughter. That way you get first hand information, you can ask questions to better understand, will probably get more info than your mother will remember when she gets home, and you won’t have to wait all day to get it.
My Mom is going to the hospital today-I don’t want to call while she’s there, finding out things I will call her later or she will call me

How do you get casey up? What are you doing then? Is his cage covered , so you uncover it, i imagine that you feed him. He doesnt wake up or get up on his own?
Does he sit on the floor or on his perch?
Well…i would like to be able to kinda picture it.🙂🦜.
I uncover him, change his water, give him his people food which I cook before hand and warm in the microwave,get out dirty papers, put his box in the bottom of his cage which he hides in and likes to chew. That is the minimum. Sometimes I cook something but usually I wait a little later to do that. Between his breakfast and supper I’m all the time cooking something. He has a good sized stainless steel cage which he sits on top of and inside both.
Ok, now i can understand better. I like his perches, he can climb.

We used to clip the very end of Casey’s flight feathers, it is dangerous for big birds to fly in the house. We had a parakeet that was full flighted all his life.
Yes we have Power of Attorney in the USA. I was that for my mother. I had to go before the judge which was easy. There was no contest to anything, both my sisters went to say that.

He is nearly 38. He was only 6 weeks old when we got him.
And he can live how long?
Like people. I have seen age limits all over the place. Back when there was a magazine devoted to pet birds and breeders they had a story about a bird like Casey that was q03. But it is just as rare with parrots as with people. I think 60 is more realistic for parrots like him.

Good morning Bella Buds it sure looks nice out but it is a cold 23. We are going to have single digits overnight temps toward the weekend. Julie’s Dad has. Been on my mind overnight and this morning.
