Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I told SPO once that I was on a touch screen and it was easy to accidentally flag someone. He said not to worry, he checked it out and if there was nothing of concern just threw it out.

Good afternoon…guess I can make some noise now, DH is going to work at his rentals..he has to finish hooking up the electric, so he’ll be up on a pole, he didn’t finish yesterday, had to get to his dad’s. I’ll probably be quiet anyway though, kind of tired..
At least you won’t have to think about it, just do what comes naturally.
