Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I have NBC on most of the time, don’t want to miss something…there was already some skating shown, but I only saw one
I have CNN on a lot and this morning was the first I’d heard of any suspect photo. Ardy had not heard either.

A dove just flew into the window Big loud bang so I got up to look and here came a hawk flying after it and the hawk took off with the dove before I could get a picture

I’m going to look for or order window decals for my front window, doesn’t happen often but once in awhile….my old neighbor put a few pretty snowflake decals on hers and just leaves them up all year, they do help

Yes and now we have two dove prints on the window.

Hello…sunny and 40s today…after weeks, finally walked with my dog walking friend and took Bane..he had to sniff everything…I’ll try and walk him again this afternoon when it’s even warmer. Later this week, high 0f 50! and next week one day, high of 60! I plan on doing some laundry today, maybe sorting through some papers…DH came home late and working here today. I need to read the chat below..
