Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. We went out for a bit..Arby’s for the 2/$7 fish sandwiches, Kroger for our sparkling water drinks and a couple other things, then for a brief visit to FIL’s. Showed them photos from DS, he’s in Tazmania, going to run a 50k. Going to read now, good night, friends.

Yes, I did. I slept for almost 3 hours.

Yes, and I needed it. Sometimes I just wear myself out and have to take a nap. No matter what time it is. And sometimes I wear myself out because I can’t sleep. Vicious cycle. 🫣
Yes it is a vicious cycle but all that matters is, it is the cycle you like and want.
It’s not really the cycle I like or want. I would rather be able to get up at 6:00 in the morning and go to bed at 10:00 at night every day. But that doesn’t work for me anymore for some reason.
I’m more of a 11:30-midnight to 7:30-8 person. I can’t make myself go to sleep, but thank goodness I usually do. But I can make myself to get up to keep a reasonable schedule.
That’s a pretty good schedule, actually. I could live with that one too. I just have to get on a schedule of some sort. I have to be more determined. It’s so different than when I worked, my schedule was set for me then. Now I have to do it by myself. It’s not fair!!!! 🤣😂
Well, you can go back to work! 🤣😂. As Casey would say, OH NO!

😫lost my post I was typing.
I lost it again to tired for a third time but safely home talk later.
That is frustrating. If I have a large post I first type it out in a word document and then copy and paste. If you lose it you still have the document and you can go and copy again and post. If you don’t have word you can use whatever program your device has. This always works for me.

I’d rather talk about the doc tomorrow because it requires more thinking, but anything else. Nothing bad today though.
I understand. Besides, no one else is here really, so you would just have to repeat yourself tomorrow anyway. I am going to check a few nests (most of the ones I follow are active now), and then probably go to bed. I need to get some better sleep tonight.
I know a lot of eggs have recently been laid and I want to research dates/times and update my records. I will save that chore for tomorrow.
I keep it all in my head. I would probably be better off to write it down. But when I first learned about watching eagles, it all happened so fast, and I had so little knowledge, that I didn’t know how to keep track of it. I will probably learn how to do that.

Debbie how did today go? did you get to eat your steak? how was the place?
I got steak and baked sweet potato. I’ll probably eat the rest in a little bit. The steak wasn’t any better than the sirloin at Texas Roadhouse. I had to spit some out. Guess I need to go with the t-bone, rib eye or filet. I used to be able to get good sirloins. Not as good as the others I mentioned mainly because less fat content, but still good flavor and not spitting any out. Service was good but the chairs were hard. Next time I’ll wait on a booth, they are padded.
Now you know what to expect at the restaurant😘 its good they had a baked sweet potato, most laces don’t have them on their menus

I got y haircut this morning and had $10 off so the cut was only $12 instead of $22. I ran into a buy and his wife whose hair I used to cut. They were surprised to see me. I went on Etsy to order color street nails because the people that sell them discount them. This person sold them for $9 a set (normally $14/$15) but charged $5.95 for shipping so I actually didnt save any money so I wont be ordering again. I once stuffed a Laz-y Boy chair into the backseat of my Buick LaCrosse, driving from Phoenix, AZ to Montrose, CO to give to DB/Chuck. Like most things, it was much easier to get it in the car than to get it out; turned out to be quite the adventure ↓↓

I remember a friend with a truck helping me move to an apt a couple blocks away, the back of his truck stuffed, lol..oh and I remember my uncle with my grandma’s chair in the back of his truck, bringing it to my apt.
I had a convertible, which worked almost as well as a truck. When i bought a new toilet; took the top down and stuck the box in the back seat. 😉
