Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. It has been a busy couple of days, not feeling well and not nice things happening. I had to have my dexa scan (bone density scan) redone on Monday morning. (This was in addition to all the tests my husband had to have done on Monday and the other errands.) Oh Karen that is all just too much. I had a little experience with an xray once, but not as bad as you experienced. I’ve told about the large brace I wore 8 years. My knee was crooked. To take the xray they wanted to straighten my leg, like the joint was at an angle and they wanted it to be straight. I’m thinking, doesn’t the doctor want to see how my leg is naturally even if it is abnormal. It was painful. Luck they didn’t cause a lasting injury. Thanks Debbie, I have been trying to stay away a little bit, because my spirits are so low. So I may not be around too much the next few days. I’m normally a pretty happy type person, but it’s been a rough spell. Things will get better eventually. 💕
It will get better Karen. You are working on your health. Apparently your husband is too. Your doctors will figure it out. It might be better to stay away from the eagles for a short time, I don’t know. You will know what is best for you. You should not stay away from here! Maybe we can help boost your spirits. Social isolation is not a good thing. You need the support of your friends.
Thanks for that, honey. I don’t think I can stay away from M-15, though. I fell in love with him back in 2023. I have to follow him through good and bad. He doesn’t notice my moodiness either. 🙂 I do appreciate all the support I have received from you all. I just don’t want to be a downer all the time.

Thank you Pam. 🤗 I wish it had been an MRI, because they don’t bother me at all. They actually make me feel pretty secure. The dexa scan is similar to a CAT scan machine, except the top is of a lighter weight and can be swung open or closed. My problem with the dexa scan was the way they positioned me, as my spine is curved in two places, in different directions. They practically pasted my back to the platform. I’m starting to feel a little better now, but I was worried for a while. 🌹
Your plate is full Karen Marie❤ It’s so sad to lose a eagle, but have to keep rooting for the eaglet, I think its a female by size anyhow it carries on the wonderful traits of F-23 her legacy carries on. With the beautiful eaglet, it doesn’t end with her passing😘
so sorry, Karen…you have a lot going on. I don’t watch the cams as much as I used to…i was addicted to the barn owls for awhile..I know how it is hard to lose one, been through it more than enough. I just can’t watch all that I guess and anyway, have to get things done here and take care of animals..I’m reading a lot, too. with your hair, could you put it up in a ponytail or little bun? I do that, especially when it’s hot out or a bit out of control. Take care..
Lynn, I don’t watch as much as I just follow, so I don’t spend too much time watching them. 🙁 I have too many other things to do that I can’t keep up with. 😅 But I do enjoy them so much. Another lovely sunny Spring day, high of 64. Showered & did a bunch of crosswords, other than that, didn’t do much.
The fish/chips food truck will be in our area tomo 11a-7p; Chuck & i’ll go around 1p, hope the line’s not too long. Food truck location was in our local news sheet. 🙄 Been here for 5 years, still not used to the small-town thing.

The house wasn’t very good for Chuck, the basement was awful, but for me; it was ideal and i really do miss everything; the pool, the big city.
Sounds like you were very unselfish. I take it the basement couldn’t be fixed.

I’m making General Tso’s chicken tonight Its a bag of breaded chicken pieces I get from the Dollar store it comes with two sauce packets I just add veggies and have it over brown rice that I get at the Dollar store too😋 the chicken pieces are dark meat, I love it almost time to start cooking
