Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I am finally sitting down. It is about 6:00 my time Friday night. It snowed about 2 in here today, oh thank God. We sure did need it. It wasn’t too cold or messy down south, but I guess up north they were having all kinds of traffic trouble for some reason. Anyway, my doctor’s appointment yesterday went well. Hi Debbie. I did see my primary yesterday. He checked me out, made sure my bone’s felt okay, without too much pain in the wrong places, etc.. I do have an arthritic back, so that doesn’t help the situation. So we will see how that goes. I had other things to talk to him about, but I just wasn’t up to it this time. I will see him again next month. Dutchess has been having trouble with car sickness, all of a sudden. And overall just hasn’t been feeling 100%. Tired, not wanting to play too much. I saw the hand doctor on Monday.

Well, it showed how my bone density is, but I wouldn’t consider it a great appointment. 😅
How are the bones?
Both hips are bad. But I have exhausted most all medications. We are going to research other options, including keeping iron, calcium, and others at appropriate levels. There may be other injections I can take.
Are the hips osteoarthritis or bone density? Those are too different things.
My back is the arthritis. My hips are the bone density issue. They are at over 3 in the bone density process. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I am at high risk for breaks, etc
Oh dear. Just work closely with your doctor and I sure hope he can help you.
Oh yes, and I know how to take the different vitamins and minerals.
Usually I hear back pain is compressed nerves, narrowing of the disks. Haven’t hear really osteoarthritis used to describe it. High risk of breaks is because of thin bones. Did he put you on medicine for that? You should do everything you can to prevent a fall. If you feel unsteady use a walker or at least a cane.

Hand Doctor referred me to a true RA doctor. They keep them under wraps here.

No, I’m getting confused Debbie. I’ve seen so many in the last 4 weeks, I can’t keep them straight. Plus I’m seeing the ones with my husband also, so I’m just all jumbled up and I don’t write them down any more. I just remember them. I did see my primary twice, I didn’t think it was this week. I’m sorry, I guess I’m going to have to start writing them down.
That is ok. The day isn’t important I just want to know what the doctor say.
I will let you know. I just can’t keep all the dates and stuff straight. I sometimes write down the appts on notes showing what time the appointments are, and then I lose the notes.
I couldn’t keep things straight if I didn’t have an appointment book. Mine is a pocket size. Jo’s is more like a calendar size.
The last job I had required that I wear an ensemble that included pants with pockets, and I always carried a small little book with a pen in my pocket, even after I got home. I had everything written down, and I didn’t miss a thing. And then I got sick. . . . .
Which problem came first?
The bone density. From my required predisone usage for asthma, which was eventually discontinued when Fasenra was invented and I got three injections. Several years later I got arthritis, but they are not sure exactly why. It does run in the family.
I’ve heard prednisone causes problems. My RA wanted me to take it. I only take it PRN like maybe once every 2 months and then a low dose.
Her tummy is probably upset, which would make it more likely to get car sick. It is good to have her checked and I hope it is something easily fixed. Bet yet, self corrects. How long has she been this way?

No, they don’t care. None of them. They just shrug their shoulders and move on. And then if you say something, you have to worry about who’s going to read the X-ray and what they’ve heard.
That does not sound good. What did your doctor say about being treated that way? Did he say it was necessary?
All he said was that they have to make sure they have you in the right position, or you will have to keep doing it again.
They shouldn’t have to make you hurt for a week.
