Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good afternoon….went with DH to the coffee shop…he met up with a couple people to sell some more of his stuff and I got a shamrock latte and egg and cheese biscuit, sat at a different table and when I finished eating sat on a comfy chair and read. Afternoon Lynn, was the shamrock latte’ mint flavored? maybe they are donating the sweets? I was just out for a walk it is chilly and windy
yes, it’s minty and not real strong, nice flavor. not sure what you mean about donating sweets? at the grocery store? they just took away the table and might still have some of that in back but maybe not as much. guess they decided they didn’t like it there but it was fun to walk in and right away see the seasonal things.
Oh the table is gone I thought the sweets were to- I like seeing things like that when I walk into a store that has them at Kroger they are by the dairy like the discount stuff
well in a way they are too…I didn’t see as many or as many varieties in the back by the bakery.
Rick always buys the discounted bread…
we don’t buy bread very often but I was looking for the marbled rye, was thinking they sell it this time of year..I did see the Irish soda bread
I made that one year and Rick has bought it but It doesnt taste that great to me….
I got a little lemon pie, they always have muffins and things like that, there’s also a bread rack that has bread, but when I look its all white bread, I don’t eat white bread if I have a choice
Our Frys has all kinds of bread that he comes home with. Once in awhile ai like wonder bread for SPAM sandwiches.😄
Hi Lynn I always hate when favorite things get changed. You take good care of your caretakers! I bet that caretaker also takes good care of FIL’s cat. So you don’t want to see the parade?
we never go, too cold…maybe several years ago we went once..and it’s on Saturday, we go to that town when it’s warm out on some Sundays mostly…DH isn’t interested in parades anyway.
I’m tired anyway and we still might go to FIL’s..maybe I’ll take a little nap first.

Releasing a flying fox back into the wild it’s so awesome to watch as the bats that have been rescued have been badly injured due to head trama, and burns from hitting electrical lines, so one that’s been rehabbed is really a miricale of survival😍

Last Friday, but they were thinking of moving him back to the nursing home
