Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hockey is a lot of fun; just remember to bundle up; hats/gloves, the whole thing — the arena will be freezing cold.
Oh yes I used to go to a lot of mens hockey games Badger games and Milwaulkee to see the Admirals play used to go everyweek

Hockey is kind of hard to follow the puck the game is so fast even worse than Tennis😂

I enjoyed playing softball but never really got into baseball. I probably would if I started watching it.
Yes, I think you probably would like baseball. Once you get to know the pitchers and some of the players, you will really like it, I think. It’s cute how each of the players has their own song that sometimes you can hear them playing in the stadiums when they come up for bat or to pitch.

Yes, especially when you’re waiting on them to change the pitcher, as the current one is lousy. Everyone cheers when they hear the music for the new pitcher. 😂

Laundry done; headed to about 75-80 today 🌞 Now that it’s been consistently warmer, the possum & both skunks have been out/eating any cat food left at night; leaving the cats milling around, mewing by the front door when i get out around 8a — they think they’re starving 😏 they’re not.
Guess i better download turbo-tax and get ’em started. Been putting it off because i have to change laptops; from windows 10 to 11 this year. Thank goodness for flash drives 😉
Oh Pam I love the toon! When we had the barn cats we had a lot more wildlife, skunks, raccoons, possums.
Our wildlife seem to hibernate more in the winter. Chuck says the skunks pay no attention at all to him, the possum watches him warily as he/she heads to the food dishes
They are domesticated wildlife. 😁
To get a skunk to back away from you just stomp your feet, that’s what they do for warning. They will turn and run. Its a good thing to know if just in case. Opossums they don’t care-they just usually run from anything😂
In this instance, we’d rather not scare the skunks; there’s only 1 exit access from where the food dishes live & they’d have to run by the brothers to escape. 😟

Stork didnt have a baby, but i think i saw the head of his partner in the nest. Not sure if they already have eggs ? Egg-babies, lol.
Yes, those are old stories, lol : stork brings the baby . 😃😁🙃.
You may see stork babies. That will be fun.
But the babies only when they can stand up and from a distance.
I really have never seen the babies, even though i drive by this nest often. But when farmers are working on the fields , the storks are coming and looking for food in the plowed up ground.
Sometimes up to 12 storks in 1 field. We have many storks and nests around here.🙂
That is interesting Gabi. I always thought storks were just around water, at fish.
Those are herons, they like to be close to water and catch fish. But they are on fields, too.
Storks are on fields, but i saw one by a lake, too. Maybe going after a frog ? Well, thats how these birds do here.

Good afternoon. 🌹 Weather is confused everywhere. Can’t blame it. 😞 We slept in a bit today. I rolled over to a little baby wanting a tummy rub. 🩷 I haven’t seen that in a few days. It was very nice. Now I have to figure out what to cook for supper. I haven’t cooked in a few days. The news is becoming scary. 😧 Be back in a bit or so.

I understand. But she is getting better. It could be if you could look at a video the same day you first took her to ER you would see more change from then. The changes come in tiny steps over days so it is harder to see them.
True. But still looking for total recovery. It’s funny how we notice every little thing about a pet, without realizing it.
