Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Good morning Bella Buds. More roller coasting temperatures. Seems it is everywhere. We are cloudy 49. 30 degree drop overnight. I’m glad we shouldn’t have rain as I need to pick up a Kroger order at noon. I will probably cook a little something for supper, maybe work some on my little projects. Y’all have a good day.

They like to nest in the big trees here, plus a good food supply fabbits squirrels and birds. I have only heard one probably the male, when the female comes they get very loud as courtship states, they male brings her food and then there’s a lot of yelling😂 The male was calling to see if a female answers back then its down to business😘

I usually make that stuff from scratch. Like: cook potatoes, then add hot milk, salt, nutmeg, a bit of butter, mash it, ….and done. I am a fan of “Clean Eating” . (Wikipedia explains it). Nevertheless, i already ate mac and cheese from a box-mix , which was pretty good, too. Maybe 3 times in my life, lol.😉 But i am sure that many people buy this convenience food and it can be good, when there is no time to really cook or so. But i dont think it is healthy to eat a lot of convenience food. Good that… Read more »

These foods have helped me help Jo with meals since I have been dieting, otherwise I would need to cook a lot more. I very seldom eat any white potatoes or Mac and cheese, and I do it is just a tiny taste smaller than a bite. I usually don’t eat most of what she eats. And I don’t like cooking! It is good you cook foods from scratch, always healthier. It is interesting you put nutmeg in white potatoes, maybe you are cooking sweet potatoes.

So jo isnt cooking for herself ? Well, then it seems to be helpful to serve these meals. I know those tiny taste-bites, too. Just to remember the taste.
The potatoes i use for mashed are normal potatoes with a yellowish “insides”. Just a dash of nutmeg in the mashed potatoes is very good.
I cook sweet potatoes, too, but i dont mash them.
Ok sweetie, its bedtime for me. Good night.🥰😘 hugs &love.

Jo cooks simple things. She is more likely to fix her lunch, especially eggs. She seldom cooks anything at night except a tv dinner or so,ething just heatable. I cook and eat sweet potatoes. They are much healthier and diet friendly. When I wasn’t dieting I did eat white potatoes.
Good night sweet Gabi. I gotta go get Casey’s supper very soon.

Yes, I forgot to say yesterday. When they went to visit Dad on Friday the nurses had him up and sitting in a wheel chair, that was big. The physical therapist sees improvement in him he can roll side to side strength is improving, and he tried to get out of bed to go to the bathroom, he fell no injuries but it that he did it😍 I do think that because the Mercer is gone he’s so much better and able to make some progress

Wonderful news. Seems the MRSA set him back more than the stroke. I was in a position where I couldn’t turn over in bed or sit up. So to be able to sit in a wheelchair is a big deal. If he goes backward even a little request a urinalysis, nursing homes seem to cause UTI to spring up. Also it is good to take cranberry capsules. They don’t routinely give them, you have to request them.

He wouldn’t be able to hold the glass-his hands and fingers don’t work well, he never was much of a soup eater anyhow, good idea but it wouldn’t work. It also depends on what the food is and if it can be stabbed with a fork or picked up with his fingers. The place has a kitchen the cook might of gone to see him or my Dad asked to see him, they are in the same building

They could have a dietician tech, even a traveling one. It is probably like the nursing home in Columbia. I had two different rehabs in that one, about a year or two apart. My county has a nursing home with a rehab part too.

I was curious and googled:
Yes, Wisconsin nursing homes are required to employ a registered dietitian (RD) or retain one on a consultant basis to plan, direct, and ensure the implementation of dietary services. While a dietitian is required, the facility may use a consultant rather than a full-time staff member. Wisconsin.Gov Home (.gov)

Thanks a dietitian was never mentioned by my Mom so that’s all I know about it, and that my Mom mentioned that the food wasn’t great that’s all I have heard about it and that my Dad hates the food. That’s all I know, can’t talk about something I don’t know about. How did we get on this dietitian talk any how?😂 I don’t know about it or what they do where my Dad is at, I just talked about a cook, my Mom called the person a cook, not a dietitan

I was talking about when I was in the nursing home. One of the places, I think the one in Nashville, gave me the option of eating in the dining room. But usually temporary rehab people eat in their rooms and more permanent residents who are able to go to the dining room either go or are taken.

All her assets consisted only of she owned a home and got social security and some VA assistance from my father. Nothing else. She lived 9 years after my father died. Independent living, assisted living, nursing home. We never applied for SSI, made it through just on the things I listed.
