Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I’m going to share a Easter family story. So when the Easter bunny came to our house it was the real deal, A plate with carrots was set on the kitchen table for him, before us kids went to bed. Then Mom and Dad had fun those carrots were chewed on remnants of carrot was all over the table and on the floor along with grass and Fabbit poop, Us kids got up to look for our Easter baskets. Mom gets up and goes into the kitchen and screams no no no. That darn rabbit, look at the mess he… Read more »

😂 love that story, so funny! and so fun for kids. I know now that it’s a big no no to give rabbits carrots..it all started with a cartoon..you can kill the rabbit..my sister and DH used to have them but they only gave them what was good for them.

Carrots for the Easter Bunny😃 I do know that rabbits in the wild have their digestive system switch over to eating non fresh food, like you can put a carrot out side for them and the don’t eat it-I put out rabbit pellets for them to eat-it has good things in it for them😍

Oh Julie what a terrific, fun story!!! How cute, I can just see it all. What a great idea. I hope they didn’t bring real rabbit poop in the house. If they did, they could have put newspaper down and told y’all the fabbit was smart because he was paper trained!

It was real rabbit poop😂 rabbit poop is hard and about the size of blueberries, rabbit poop is a good garden fertilizer better than cow manure

It was-he barks to much at neighbors in there back yards, Judy would then kick a ball to distract him, Doesn’t work, I told her she needs to work on her commands with him, so we worked on the cammand “Come” starts barking command come-she was just saying No, command come makes him move come to her and get a treat, he started doing it after a while and that’s good because he’s a bolter just runs out the door if you open it and if he does get out the front door, telling come could save his life as… Read more »

Good morning Bella Buds and happy Monday. Cool today, 47 now, but should be a little warmer than yesterday. I got up around 7 this morning which is early for me. I was glad because I looked at the Today show and saw Samantha first day back. I didn’t see her when she first came on stage, but I did see her when they went outside to greet the public. Anyway, I was restless last night because I see my family doc, and was going over in my mind things I want to talk to her about. Seeing my family… Read more »

Good Morning Debbie, I had to see what time it was, you made me check the clock to see what time it is? I didn’t think it was 10:00. Seeing Savannah is so sad-poor woman can’t imagine all she’s been through and still is going through….answers maybe someday- its like the news stories just faded away about Nancy, maybe done on propose, part of a tactic? Savannah going back to work story not in the news, if the person or person’s who took her liked seeing this in the news? and it will make them reach out again and they… Read more »

I got my list of topics, I kept changing my mind to the approach about the topics. I am not sure about the Guthrie case. It could be that it is as you said, because I’m sure they do things like that. Or it can be that things like this fade away as there are no new real things of significance to talk about. Just like you don’t hear much about the Ukrainian war now.

Things fade away, there isnt any discoveries to talk about although they are still trying to solve this.
I dont think there is anything behind this fading away to be suspicious about…
She had to go back to work sometime or they would move on w/o her.

KyDebbie
April 6, 2026 9:36 am

I agree with everything you said, never been suspicious about anything. Yes, a show like Today has been very supportive of Samantha but it was time for her to either go back or quit. I think she chose the best thing for herself, but of course it was her thing to decide. She needs to go on with her life, she knows that.
