Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

Looking forward to it. The word was put out by family text chat. I responded I’ll be there unless I’m in the hospital or Heaven. 😁

I just told niece Shonda to invite my niece Shannon’s father in law. He is a long time widower. I met him for the first time at Christmas and a saw a spark in Nancy’s eyes when she talked to him!

Hi Pam, poor, misguided, ignorance is bliss, Carrots. 😁. Doc’s office went great! She seemed to not want me to go off the CPAP machine. ☹️. She recommended a coccyx pillow. Less padding you know. My body was used to a lot of padding. I said maybe I’ll toughen up that part of my anatomy. 🤣.

I had one! When I got my new recliner in October I took all the stuff I had been sitting on to help me get up when I was sick off the old chair and didn’t need it on the new chair. That included the pillow. And I just took it to Goodwill on one of the Somerset trips this year. Amazon has a bunch of these kind of pillows, or I should probably say cushion. Unless I toughen up, I guess I’ll have to buy a new one.
