Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. I remember that, too…one of my favorite cafeteria meals…but more jr high than HS…most of the time I skipped lunch in HS, sat by my locker and studied..sometimes had a snack.
For tomo’s Derby, my heart is with So Happy; it’s the trainer/Mark Glatt’s 1st Derby after his wife passed. 🐎 And the owner is from Chandler, AZ 🌵

I am not familiar with him. Pam. I don’t even know who’s whose horses are racing tomorrow but I’m sure Bob baffert has horses so I will be rooting for his cuz I’m Bob baffert fan to the end

The lady presenting the trophy was a teacher, now Lieutenant Governor, plans to run for governor.

The winner is a family with a long history of Derby winners. They own one of the most prominent horse farms in the state.
I am a huge Bob Baffert fan. He is from Nogales

Nancy’s birthday cake. I bought it and niece Shonda ordered it and picked it up.

What a pretty cake. Is it chocolate or white?
I think it is white. My niece and I decided we wanted the number cake instead of the sheet cake. I remember it didn’t come in as many flavors as the sheet one. I paid for the cake but Shonda ordered it and picked it up. I was sorry they don’t put a name on the number cakes. I actually wanted to put “Happy Birthday Nancy, Mama and Nonnie” on the cake. I call her Nancy, her children call her Mama and the grands and greats all call her Nonnie.
I would have wanted to add the three names, also.
