Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hey ladies 😍 we have been out all day. Just getting Arby’s food. Yum. On the way home. Low temperature last night was 14°, and it got up to 54° this afternoon. Still no snow. Going to eat. Can’t wait! Will be back in a little bit or so. 🥰

We (I) went to see my PCP for a routine checkup. It went well. Then we went to Walmart and picked up a couple of things we needed. And then we went to Mill Outlet, an old time fabric shop that has been here for 60 years. I picked out some new fabric I want to train Dutchess with when playing with her. I am wondering if it would help, so I thought I’d give it a shot.
The fabric shop had beautiful, gold trimmed fabric for royal weddings for $120 a yard, etc. And fabric for furniture and all kinds of stuff.
And yes, I got a good report today. Yay!

Hi Pam you were cold last night but war,Ed up nicely. Oh yum on shrimp Chinese style. I usually order shrimp at Chinese places. Cute tune. Most under 30 yo will only know a rotary phone from tv and movies.

Hello…didn’t get a lot done today, just little jobs. My sister and mom had some running around to do…my helper came and shoveled.
Tonight we went out (DH and I, mom and sister) at a restaurant for my mom’s birthday…it was ok but the nicer restaurants were closed…several restaurants are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays..some are only open Wed or Thurs through Saturday or Sunday. It’s so cold out. Tonight I’m going to watch DWTS Christmas and maybe later a holiday show or movie with my sister.

Hi Lynn. The perks of having a private business. 🤨 Being able to open whenever you want to. We have a lot of that here, all different kinds of shops, some open on Sundays, some open Wednesday through Sunday, and all kinds of different days and hours. I find it to be so frustrating. Hard to plan. I’m glad you got to spend some time with your mom on her birthday. 💝
Finally heard from Julie. She said she sent texts and pictures yesterday and today and so had I. Neither of us got the texts or pictures. She and her mother had gone to Ashland today to get her mom’s car that was being fixed and some other things. I had sent a text at 5:24 I guess while they were still out a little and it had popped in and she called. We didn’t talk long because she was still outside and cold. It was actually a big deal for me. I pulled into a parking place at Kroger, actually got a bit misty eyed. Grabbed my cane, not walker, and before I could have second thoughts, off I went. I got a little scared briefly in the middle of the roadway between the parking and story, thought what if I fall right here, but I kept on going. I got a riding scooter and off I went! Thanks Pam. I still will have to stick to riding scooters, but maybe soon I’ll try a smaller store like Aldi’s. I’ll have to walk with a grocery basket there.
