Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Finally saw the doctor. He sent her to the hospital which is very close for some kind of blood work, then back immediately to the office. It could be the eye isn’t getting enough blood supply but I don’t know how a blood test determines that.
I also wonder if it could be stress related because when he started talking to her, her eye got blurry.
Could it be blood pressure? well its good they didn’t just send her home running some tests is good and what should happen
Jo has never had high blood pressure. Her pressure is lower than most. But she has lost weight maybe it is too low.
Did they find anything out?
Her lab work was good which he said ruled out the bad things. He thinks it could be dry eyes and wants her to use a preservative free tears drop every 2 hours. See him in 2-3 weeks. Nancy thinksshe should see a retina specialist but I really think I would try the drops for at .east 2-3 days. I trust our regular ophthalmologist. They referred us both to retina specialists and I think they would this time if he really thought it necessary.
Do the drops and see what happens if it doesn’t happen again, then good and she will see him 2-3 weeks, if she has no more problems then its a win. I’m sure he looked at her retina, if he found anything wrong he would maybe them send her to a specialist. Plus he can consult with his brother👁😘

I told her not to let fans blow in her face, that can dry the eyes like wind.
So scary, having to worry about one’s eyes. Hope Jo is doing okay.
Hi Karen. I just asked her, she said it is back to normal. I think some of this may be she has had a fan pointed at her during this hot weather. Probably dried out her eyes blowing on her face. We will see if the extra drops help. She was taking the drops already twice a day, but now to do it every two hours.
I am so glad she is better and that it may be something that simple. 🙏

Niagra Falls and smoke
My friend, JoAnn, that I a going to visit is having her side of the family up to their house/yard for Brede camp. They usually pick a camp ground but it was her turn to pick so she picked their new lake home and this is what she just wrote to me…………………….Just Great! We now have a Quality Air Alert! Around 9:00am smoke drifted in to our area from the Boundary Waters…it’s very hazy across the lake and you can even smell it. No one has canceled yet, but I’m concerned about Caroline & baby. Caroline is very pregnant.
Oh dear. But a mask would make a difference. I guess I’d wear a mask rather than cancel. Even a plain one would probably filter out enough smoke. Last time I used bleach I started having some trouble with the fumes. I put on a N95 and I could not even detect bleach. You know it would work for smoke.
That would be the mask to wear, I just looked and found mine😃 Breathing wild fire smoke is very bad for you
Oh rats Ardyth and its smoke from Canada too, just have to wear masks or just stay inside. So sad about the Boundry Waters-the had to airlift people from there yesterday and have closed roads. I’m under the alert too
