Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. When we got married everyone called us the “bass-ackward” couple, as i handled most of the “men” tasks, and he took care of the girl stuff, except for cooking. We have since merged somewhat, but not totally. And, I still yell louder. 🤭

He does the laundry, including the fancy stuff. Knows how to wash and fold and press and handle carefully. He washes the dishes and organizes kitchen items, vacuums and dusts. I on the other hand, mow the yard, take care of the yard, the garden, any kind of light construction inside and outside. That’s all I can think of right now, but you get the drift I’m sure. Oh Debbie, i love it! Nothing like mowing and smelling fresh cut grass instead of dirty dish water, messy plates, etc. And yes, cleaning fish is a breeze. Mom taught me how when I was 12. And my husband is way too tidy for me, but I deal with it. Everything is always in it’s place. You should see the “junk” drawer in the kitchen. Perfect order. Kind of drives me nuts. Oh so funny! Too bad you two didn’t have children together, he would be Mr. Mom! It is funny how people develop “roles” within a household. So he color codes rubber bands. Do the red ones have a different job than the blue ones? The main thing is you are both comfortable in your roles and what you like to do. Sounds perfect to me.
