Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I don’t see my post now. I said that we took Bane to the park and ate at the root beer stand. I’m glad DH took an afternoon off, he doesn’t do that often and he has weeks of vacation time each year..usually he saves it up and has December off but I’d rather he take some days off in the summer. Going to rest and relax on my porch now..

All those flowers will reseed themselves too. You also don’t need a big piece of land to grow the flowers either everyone should wild their yard a little and allow nature to grow, just a small corner of the yard put in some native flowers and you can have your own little habitat😍

Howdy do BellaFam 💖 Another 100 degree day, along with some serious humidity. Poor Chuck was melting while trying to get his car over to Discount Tire so they could remove a large bolt from one of the tires & get it patched up 🙄 Rick’s hanging in there, very slow improvement; we’re just waiting on insurance approval to start OT/PT. It’s across the street from where he’s at now. Chuck’s going to spend the day with him tomo, Called DirecTV & was able to score a $60 per month discount for the next 12 months & it will eligible… Read more »

We live in such an open area that our service is pretty good; we’re supposed to get a heavy duty thunderstorm in bit so it’ll probably go out for a few minutes then pop back up.

Hi Pam, I’m sorry Chuck got a bolt in his tire, hope the plug holds. Don’t start worrying about Rick yet. It has only been 2-3 days. See what Chuck thinks when he actually lays eyes on Rick tomorrow. No one went today, right? So you are depending on what Rick said? Things hopefully will improve more dramatically when PT really start working with him, although Rick will probably convince you they are trying to kill him. 😁. Then demand cake to help him cope and endure the torture. 🤣. O, I don’t want to make fun, I know he… Read more »

Rick isn’t on the phone at all; Chuck is working with the intake person. She’s the one arranging insurance and OT/PT. We know they’re trying to kill him 😄 He has to eat ‘real’ food; no Pepsi/snacks. I told Chuck to stop and get him some Hostess cakes or a Snickers. He hasn’t even mentioned smoking so we know he’s in pretty bad shape. We expect him to be on oxygen when he comes home.

Well you are getting good info. Yes, Rick needs treats. Did the stroke cause him to need oxygen, or was he already on it? Being on oxygen and smoking is going to make a hard situation to navigate. Prayers for you all.

He was young like a 18, 20 year old they didn’t say anything about that, the thing is there was another young man killed by a officer just down the street for where this one happened yesterday. So people of course are very upset

here is an idea of where Ardyth will be while she’s in Minnesota… I think she said she is going to Aitkin after Austin which is about a 3 and half hour drive, then she said they would spend a day in Duluth which is about an hour and half drive from Aitkin…here’s a visual

Thanks Deb. Is Aitkin where JoAnn lives and where Ardy will stay at the lake home? I was wrong, I thought it was further north. I’m probably thinking about when I looked up where the MN fires were. I should have know the south border to the north border of MN would take more time to drive.
