Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good morning…noisy here…thought we were done with that a few years ago when the guy across the ravine tore out vegetation and there was an avalanche..then one summer and part of the next were ruined with all the beep beep, dump and other loud noises as he/they dumped concrete pieces on that area…think they are doing more of that and maybe? working on the foundation of the house? not sure..hate it..had a friend here yesterday and we sat outside..luckily there was a break at the right time, with the noise. Back home had a very nice walk, said good morning to a bunch of people I don’t know they greeted me back with the same😃 Judy and I are going to a street festival on Saturday Its the Atwood Fest a neighborhood festival with music, food and people watching🤓 people usually dress up and wear funky clothes I have a cool 60’s dress to wear

It will be Lynn its a 3 day festival but Sunday its going to be to hot to go in the 90’s. I used to go all 3days Friday-Sunday might take a walk to it tomorrow?

Good morning Bella Buds. We have a beautiful morning sunny and 73 right now. I got hummer nectar cooling and clean feeders ready, when the feeders are brought in I am going to wash, bleach, re-wash so a good cleaning. Jo wants a new shredder, so I’m going to research them and see if I can order one for her. ‘I’m hoping Pam’s Rick is doing well. I could have hummers through October, but I have had fewer this year than usual.

Good morning Sunshine, you are out and about early. I think Ardy is staying in Austin again tonight so I doubt if she took a walk this morning. And Austin is way south. She will go north tomorrow, so from near the south border to near the north border.

Thank you all so much for the good thoughts/prayers & encouragement. Rick’s in good hands; the rehab facility is across the street from the hospital where he is right now. He should be able to start PT/OT in the next day or 2. Neither of us will be going to Pueblo tomo, we’re scheduled to have severe thunderstorms and don’t want to chance being unable to get home.
Nice the rehab is across from the hospital, you don’t have to look for a new place to bring him, you know where the hospital is.😘 Good stay home with the weather to happen
How are his spirits? Hopefully he will like his therapists. I think that is half the battle. How long does it take to drive to Pueblo?

Good morning Pam. Rick is perking along. It sounds very promising. Good choice to stay home today, he will be well taken care of. I suspect someone will come today and walk him a short distance in the hall. It might not be actual PT, could be an aide. Or PT may do a baseline evaluation.
Time for me to sign off and head toward beddie bye. Praying for Rick. That is Pam’s Rick. Hope he improves quickly and completely, and will pray for that to happen.
