Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

I am sharing this information here on this site because it involves the the problem Ardyth had posting on Facebook. There is a private investigator doing a tape on YouTube about Jackie the eagle. Evidently Facebook has decided to hold down many messages regarding Jackie for some reason. So it is not just Ardyth..

To only have one posting of info makes sense,it stops misinformation from being published

Except that 10,000 people might not necessarily see one posting. People should be able to say whatever they want to their friends also. As long as it’s not hurting someone.

I saw on Facebook that Ardy made it to her connection flight. She didn’t say, anything but showed a photo at the sign at the gate saying departing to Minneapolis/St. Paul.

I’m sure he will but if I was him it would not be very time consuming. Maybe he will cook something he likes but Ardy doesn’t?

Good afternoon. 😍I know, I’m late again. Can’t help myself. This time, Dutchess kept me up until 4:30 a.m., determined that I would play. Ugh. Slept too late. Anyway, Pam, i am so glad Rick is “okay” and that it isn’t worse. 🙏 And i’m glad they diagnosed him so fast and got everything going as far as therapies go. It will be quite a learning curve for him, but he is fortunate to have you and Chuck. Debbie, I am so relieved that you and Jo didn’t have any problems with the storms. I think it is a miracle… Read more »

Another little update on Rick:
The medical staff at Parkview have assigned him a PT and an OT; the schedule hasn’t been set but at least we all know who they are.
He’s still pretty confused, but was able to get to the bathroom using the walker; even remembered what he what he went in there for 😉 And he knew exactly what meds he is supposed to take and how many; both habits of a lifetime.

This sounds good Pam, he will be confused, he also will probably sleep more than usual-thats part of brain recovery. He can remember what he was doing, remembers dates his age. What I noticed is my voice sounded different to me? also I have trouble swallowing still to this day I had to go to a speech therapist. My right foot also dragged some but that has gotten better over the years. He will do fine with you and Chuck being there for him, he’s in a good place😘

Oh I’m glad to hear from you Pam. I was wondering. It sounds good to me. He is already up on his walker, that is already an improvement and knows meds, why he is there. So this hospital has in house PT and OT, do they have their own department or just come to his room? I imagine they will send him on to a rehab facility unless they have a true area that is dedicated to rehab. It would be billed differently than a hospital room. Sounds like things are perking right along. I’m happy!

Better go crack some nuts. 😁. Also known as replenish Casey’s treat container. I just crack the nuts with a hammer, don’t remove them from the shell. Put grapes, baby carrots, strawberries, whatever I have raw for his treat, all prewashed. I may cook some turnips for me. If I do I will put some raw slices in his treat box. Then on a daily bases I get this box out of the fridge to put the stuff in his bowl.
