Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Chuck’s home, Rick’s being sent to the full-size hospital, Parkview, in Pueblo tonight. He can’t stand on his own. They brought him a good meal, chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and fried okra that he had to eat with his left hand. Hope they know he’ll be wanting cake or cookies at 9p 😄
Oh dear, but they got him where he needs to be, they will take care of him. He will probably receive some simple physical therapy fairly soon. I’m really glad Chuck came home so he can get his rest, no reason to sit at a hospital. I’m not sure they will have cake or cookies at 9, but I bet they have ice cream or pudding! Get well Rick. I will pray for all of you. I know you are stressed, but I feel in my gut Rick will be fine. He needs time.

It was pretty cool. Once in a lifetime thing. I’ve tried to keep it all up over the years.
I’d say! Not to many people go through that process more than once. Bet it is as nice now as when it was built!

No. Also, Colorado Springs is a big military town. Not very many people stay in one house for more than 4-12 years. They are always getting transferred somewhere else. It’s kind of unusual for somebody to be in a home as long as I have been here.
