Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Be careful Ardy, could be scam. I got a recent alert from Apple advising me someone had made a charge to my Apple ID. I didn’t believe it and so far I haven’t seen any bill.

Well we had an exciting morning, if you want to call it that. I heard Rick get up around 11a; i could hear him behind me doing his routine. The next thing i heard was a small crash; he had fallen and couldn’t get up. I was screaming for Chuck to help me get him up. After getting him to the sofa, i called 9-1-1; Five EMTs were here in about 3 mins. He’s still in the hospital; but whining to come home 😏 Chuck’s there, so we’ll find out pretty soon, i would think. And yes, i was terrified after i caught my breath.

Pam, I would be in a panic, so Rick is home now? Did he jurt himself falling? Its good he’s getting to move his arms and legs and his age. Remember never move someone who falls call emt’s right away pillow under head , you don’t know if there’s a injury, I learned that from my Dads fall. he knew he was on the floor, he couldn’t get his right leg underneath him. When we got the walker in front of him, the right leg wouldn’t move. Chuck had him from the back and i was steadying the walker from the front.
Smart using the walker you got him up easy, sounds like he didn’t loose consiousness and if he did it wasn’t long he was aware
One of the times the EMT’S got me up it was a man and woman. The man put his arms under my arm pits. The woman took my hand. They simultaneously lifted\pulled and I popped up. I was really heavy then.
Oh no Pam. How far away is the hospital? I’m so sorry this happened to Rick. Is he on a blood thinner? He is where he needs to be. He can be monitored and observed, if he has another whatever it is they can immediately administer medicine. Tell him to shut up and be have or Big Sis is gonna jerk a knot in his tail. Say it real mean. None of us want to be in the hospital, but it is in his best interest to stay there as long as they will keep him.
Hi Debbie, No blood-thinners; hospital’s only about 10miles away in LaJunta. i hope they keep him overnight; neither Chuck nor I will get any sleep if they release him. 🙄
They won’t release him if you request he stay. More than likely they think he should stay. You and Chuck need to both tell him to stay. That is what is best for him. I was IN THE HOSPITAL. Still coded twice. If I had gone home I would have died August 29, 2023. Twice, if that is possible. Tell him that story and that I have two stroke spots in my brain to go with each code. Hi Karen. Not so much for me. I was out of it. But I had some very vivid dreams. I really think the dreams were out of some of the things going on around me. I still remember the dreams and they were long and detailed. They say dreams last as long as it would take if a movie was showing an experience.

This is the first thing I’ve had at home since early March, 2025 that is a no no for loosing weight. I was so tired and hungry I thought, well now is the time. I’m lighter now than the doctor wants me to be, so I guess it will be ok for now.

Well, I just grabbed what was easy and available. I was so tired and hungry. Not really what I like, no veggies at all, unless you count the salsa. I’d rather had pizza supreme! 😋

It wasn’t my kind of food. They had specials on personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut, just $3. Wish I had got that.
I’m going to pick up a prescription and Kroger order. I have washed all the refrigerator drawers and will finish when I get home. I’m tired already. I next need to clean the shelves and door bins. I asked Jo to at least clean the very bottom of the fridge inside because it is hard for me to bend down for long. That is why I couldn’t load the smallest mobility scooter.
Did you know the Canadian fires are all their fault for not properly managing the forests? I guess that is why we put more tariffs on them? 🍊. It is hurting KY, they won’t buy our bourbon. I guess it is the US’s fault then, that we have had fires in CA, CO. Did Texas have fires or was that just flood?
