Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. My A/C just died. Well, the fan runs, just doesn’t blow cool air 😧 I’ve left a message with 1 company, waiting on a return call from another one and have another one i can call and leave a VM. It’s only 82, so we aren’t melting, but it’s gotta get repaired and SOON

Pam, maybe get some ice made or ice cubes and have something to set them in and let the air blow over them if you have to. This would be a good time to have one of those turkey bags that are just plastic with holes in them. And then have a bowl sitting under it. You would have to stay in that spot though. Praying for you guys. 😥

Hello. . . . So glad for Iris. I read her story a couple of years ago. 💖 I have been re-teaching myself MS Excel all afternoon. And trying to get my entire budget on spreadsheets. It will be so beautiful when I’m done!!! And it will make that job so much easier! Time to scarf something down. Hot dogs again!!! With some kind of veggie. Listening to my favorite songs on you tube while I work. I feel pretty good!!! Hope everyone is feeling as good as possible! 😍🤗

Oh she does deserve it. She couldn’t fly when they picked her up. Maybe they can get her strong enough to a least fly a little bit if the prognosis is bad.
I think she needs to be able to take care of herself before she is release. Can you imagine a rival or predator coming at you and you can do nothing to defend yourself? Remember the owl attacks in Florida? Or you starve to death because you can’t catch your food. Shadow might bring her food, I do think she can self feed. Or not? The food at rehab may be bite sized pieces.
Yeah, I know. I’m torn. They will make the right decision.

Actually, it is kind of nice to look at a spreadsheet and be able to tell at a glance exactly what i’m doing without having to think about it and remember everything. I used to do spreadsheets, before I started getting sick.
