Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. We had rain overnight and lots of lightning i guess. Rick sat outside and watched it. So right now it is cooler so I walked this morning.
Not much planned today…….can you believe that??? LOL
Hi Ardy..I’ve been reading stuff but need to go get ready and start my day…does Rick know how dangerous that is?? Recently here a little girl was struck by lightning and killed..happened so fast and they were all starting to head inside.
We had someone killed just a few weeks ago
Everybody in Tucson does it…..it was off in the distance …and no thunder.

Coffee clinks Ardyth and Good morning😍 what I told you yesterday about the carpet cleaner and floor washer was wrong Judy has 1 carpet cleaner and 1 floor cleaner they are both Bissell brand she got the floor cleaner because of her back it cleans the floor great, it gets right next to the base boards she absolutely loves it😘 Nothing like a pretty lightning storm as long as its the right lightning and your not in harms way😃 we had someone who was just killed by a lightning strike, it does happen
That is OK mine is just for carpets and that is what i bought it for….I have a lightweight Shark steamer for the floors.

Hello…I didn’t do that much today, read a lot, mostly on the porch. I didn’t sleep well, bug bites kept me awake, happens often in the summer..bought some more anti itch cream today, it helps some but I have to reapply it often. We went out to eat tonight, I got a feta omelet and hash browns.

most are chigger bites, i have them all the time all summer, they itch like crazy and sometimes hurt.
I think I had chiggars once and they are bad to have. I don’t know the preventative or treatment.
i try to stay out of the grass but can’t always do that..don’t want to wear long pants in summer! and i just use the regular anti itch cream, helps some and have to reapply
Picardin may help. It is the safest repellant on the market. Your pets would have to ingest I think quite a bit of it. Fumes or such won’t hurt them. Really there would be no risk if applied to areas of the skin under clothing. I think chiggers love dark areas under clothes and those areas can cause the most discomfort.
that’s the Avon stuff, I sell it and use it.
It has Picardin in it? That is good! I doubt if your dogs even want to lick it. I would speculate it would take a lot to make them sick.
