Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. The chicks will continue to grow in the nest for about three to four weeks before fledging. More information about the cams, set-up or to make a donation please visit alyssasnaturesanctuary.org.

i think we’re good; it ran for about 30 mins while he was here; then he wasn’t even at the end of the street when it stopped. Took me almost 30 mins to figure out this stupid thermostat. Looked up the instructions on Google, think i figured it out. At any rate, it’s cooling right now. If i have any more trouble, i’ll text this poor guy; i think he lives not too far; around 10 miles away. What a day!
Chuck’s taking a pair of sweats to Rick tomo; the jeans are still a struggle.

Hope everything is good to go with A/C. With your heat you don’t want to be without it.

🤣. The toon! so after the guy left, was the thermostat the problem, or did he come back and do something? I solved my Jean problem by getting jeans with elastic in just the back. From the front they look just like regular jeans. The back doesn’t matter, I don’t tuck in tops. I can slide them down sithout unbuttoning or unzipping. They are 100% cotton which I like too. when k was in the nursing home rehab I had to put on clean clothes every day. Overkill for someone who spends a lot of the day on a bed… Read more »

It was the thermostat; when the A/C went out last night, i started fidgeting with the buttons and couldn’t remember how to get back to the original settings🙄 We’re golden, the house is cooling down nicely.

So you needed both the coil and afterwards a thermostat re-programming. Did the man come back or did you figure it out before that? I’m glad you are getting cool.

Pam this cat-toon is so funny😂 Jade scoops her own box, she likes to dig, really gets into it and she will sometimes dig out a clump and it ends up on the floor. I scoop her box-like 3 times a day so she doesn’t play with her clumps😂 its just the clumps that end up on the floor

Got ahold of HVAC repair people, several of them. 3 called back, but only 2 could do something. I went with the neighbor’s recommendation. Less expensive but the fix is taking forever. He got here at 10, finally found the problem around noon; Left to have lunch and pick up the part and still isn’t back to do the actual repair. 90F outside, about 82 in the house. If he hasn’t returned by 3, I’ll call and see what’s the hold up. He took my money to pay for the part and i want it! 🙄

Yes, after they cleaned the outside part; capacitor/compressor, they checked the coil and voila! That’s the problem. Hi Lynn.
Now i just want him back here to fix it, so i can take a nap, i didn’t sleep at all last night.

Sorry about not sleeping. I’m glad it wasn’t the compressor. The coil has to be less expensive.

Nancy’s eyes are really bad now with macular degeneration. She saw a different doctor with the same retina clinic and this doctor is going to try to get her in a new study for a new drug. They are already advertising it on tv. It is called Ilea (ilea).

KyDebbie

She has wet macular generation and has had shots. She participated in a year long study of shots, now they are going to try to get her qualified for a brand new study. So far she can drive. I think it affects reading the worse.

I’m off the phone. Got off rather abruptly but I was ready anyway. Jo is taking Macie to the vet just for rabies shot, nail trim, anal glands. I wanted this done in Somerset at a new vet because I thought it would be good to be introduced, into the computer, history, etc with something mundane, not wait for a cat with a problem. Anyway I’m talking to Nancy. First thing Jo does is get the carrier ready, waiting in a chair. Well, that was early, gave Macie time to know something was up. Second thing, I always shut the… Read more »
