Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Hi Karen. Enjoy the gymnastics. I enjoy watching them. It is really my favorite Olympic sport.
‘This is the first okra I’ve bought this year. No one has had it. I didn’t buy any yogurt mix. I did buy plain Greek yogurt at Walmart, the brand that starts with C.
I’m glad Shadow is not taking a mate now, but I’m also glad he isn’t chasing the new female away.

Actually, those are the first pods I’ve seen in about 50 years!
I usually find them every year, but for some reason not this year.
I used to love the way they felt, kind of velvety. And then they were so easy to chop up. And fry with onions!
I like them roasted.

Great news on Pam’s party😍Jackie was on the national news tonight or rather the rehab she’s at people won’t stop calling there and are also calling the vets at their homes – people need to stop harrassing the Ojai Raptor Center and the doctors and staff there, calling them at home is stalking and your breaking the law
I know, it is getting bad. They’ve given an address for encouraging cards, etc, but are really asking folks to “leave them alone so they can do their jobs.” They should enlist a volunteer who will answer and screen calls. I would do it for free.
It is bad people need to get a grip the people are working, They are doing the best they can waiting for test results takes time they have been doing great on up dates, and after all you can’t talk to a eagle!!!

Those funny looking white things are some kind of mushrooms. He said they are like a meat substitute. Like if you cooked them in a sauce like bbq wings you would think them real wings. Cooked, they shred like meat. Or you can coat them and just fry them in a skillet. I’ll probably try cooking them like I cook my roasted veggies in my little oven.

Yes and there were places. The tail end of my car is in one photo. I got in there easy, but two vendors helped me got out. I won’t do that again, but I do think another car came and made it hard for me.

Heaven forbid, but if you fell and broke something you might not be able to get it off a counter top right there. You can usually manage to get something out of a pocket.
