Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. As soon as he drove away, started my pantry clear-out; so many expired items 🙄 And now I can’t lift the trash bag, naturally 😏 Dang, shoulda checked the date on the rice i had for lunch; definitely old — UGH. Good excuse to have extra ice cream to take that ‘old food taste’ away.

Hi Karen, yep a lot of things that are shelf stable are good past their exp. date. Even milk can be longer than it says. If milk smells ok it usually is.

I just plain hate to waste stuff. I will eat something I really don’t want if it is close to expiring.

Hi Pam ignore my questions below about Chuck’s trip, I hadn’t read this. Now don’t try lifting that bag, don’t risk hurting yourself. If need be you can always take things out of the bag that are in containers and put into another bags. Better that than get yourself in pain or worse. Oh by all means, we don’t want the flavor of stale in our mouths. Ice cream is just the right antidote!
Good idea divide it up or just wait for Chuck 🤔

My cat likes plain yogurt! I finished a container and put the empty container on my table. She came over and started licking the inside.
Michi used to like any flavor of yogurt. When I was eating it she would come over and I would let her lick it off the spoon when I was finished eating but she hasn’t done that for a long time now.

Why would I mind, your opinion is just as valuable as anyone’s! The set is 3 pieces, I really think the swag is part of the valance. You can see it in that berry red swag, that it is all one piece with the valance.
I like the chickens🐔
I like everything about those except the chickens. Ever since spending time on grandparents farm and having to collect the eggs I don’t like chickens. They are mean. They peck at you when you try to get the eggs from the nest.

also at least a couple power lines down on this side of town and north of here, I keep checking to see where damage is to tell my mom..she plans on going out after the watch is over

I’m glad for your neighbors it was just the tree, but that was bad enough. A long time ago we had an ice storm that damaged on of the big trees in the front yard. It very slowly declined until about 2-3 years ago we had it cut down. Now there is that big space that was once filled with a big tree.
guess it also took down a tree that’s not in my view
