Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Having a thunder storms I made it home before it hit, had Jade outside for a bit then it started getting really dark came in the house and I had no power then had a big gust of wind. No power because the wind was happening before it got here it came from the south probably other outages happening, had one tornado warning to the south of me it was nice and breezy when I went for my walk could see the dark clouds coming

It came back on right away, I didn’t realize it was off until it came back on and the clock on the stove beeped and was flashing. I need to set the clock and turn the water heater back on if there’s a power outage it turns its self off for safety its a gas water heater

A little more excitement than you were planning for I think, Butterfly. 🦋 😍 But I’m glad you and Jade had a nice time together. And I’m really glad that everything came back on and works okay. I always hold my breath when that happens, thinking that maybe something blew a fuse. 💚

Sitting here thinking about how sad I am … Chuck came up and it looks like Rick will be transferred to Pioneer tomo. 🤸♀️ 🤸♀️ Our next door neighbor works there as the Director. Chuck went over there with the medical power of attorney and he told Chuck they had the best staff in the Valley; PT & even a psychiatrist; which is incredible. Chuck will take mornings & I’ll visit in the afternoons; Pioneer is about 3 miles from our house. Good Palliative care ’til it’s time for Hospice; Stage 4 lung cancer. I’m still sad, but not as. I am confused, is something else going on with Rick? Or are you sad because he cant some home right away?
I’m sad because he won’t be coming home; he’s going to the Pioneer care facility until the cancer puts him in Hospice. The medical staff at Parkview/UCHhealth say about 3-4 mos with luck.

I appreciate it Julie; there’s just so many other things going on with him. It’s not that we don’t have faith/hope; we’re simply realistic/accepting of what God/Rick wants; hence the DNR.
Has Rick known longer than you?
No, he found out the same day we did. Over the years, we’ve all discussed what each of us would want in this situation. His decision was made long before the diagnosis.

Oh no Pam! I have no words. I never dreamed this. Did you already know about the cancer or did you find out today? So no treatment just palliative care? That is pretty much hospice. Love you Pam and I wish I had more than that, because right now I have no words. I would have hugs, a lot of them, but we are thousands of miles apart.

I understand that 100% Pam. You talk when you want to, you don’t talk when you don’t want to. Try if you can to tell us just the basics, as you want to tell. I’m just heartbroken for you and all your siblings. If you ever what to call I will just listen. Hugs and love. I feel so helpless to say anything more.
Oh Pam NOoooooooo, Rick has cancer they can slow it down even at stage 4 they can do something, they will do what ever he wants and maybe he wants to come home💖 and be back in his own bed again. I do hope its possible sweetheart, just have to find out what he wants

So sorry to read this. It sounds like he will be in a very good place for the care he needs/wants. It is so good that and he will be so close you and Chuck will be able to visit so often and be close when he needs you. Sending {HUGS} to all of you. 🙏

I read the discussion about cleaning out cards and such. Taking photos worked well for me.
It was about using the blank sides of a card for scratch paper

I take a few pictures of cards…………………I have way too many cards to add on to my laptop.
I am in the process of cleaning them out and using the blank side for scratch paper.
That really is a good idea, but work.
It is some work, but all i have to do is cut down the seam
