Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. This one has animals in every video. The one on Sunday night has videos that include animals and other things too. I like the one best tonight.

We just had a crazy downpour with cracking thunder, just like that its over.
After the storms today we are getting a little peek at a sunset😍 rained here 2 times really hard. Glad you got to have rain Ardyth hope it cools off for you😘

Rick’s in much better shape than yesterday; Thursday was not a good day 😔 Had PT this morning. Didn’t want the egg burrito, but he did eat a whole hot dog, with bun and chips; drank about 1/2 the Pepsi. Oh and a big fat chocolate brownie — he does like his chocolate 😋

Back from my walk had Jade out for a bit, didn’t like the looks of the sky can here lots of thunder we are under a severe thunder storm warning and a Tornado warning that goes until 6pm the storms have strong winds tornado warning canceled. They said this was coming. Oh and I found another Monarch egg😍
At least the tornado part is over. Hang in there, 45 minutes to go.

Good afternoon. I have been reading the chat but I haven’t responded to anything. Sorry. I have been pretty busy this morning. I’d walked and of course it was hot. Right now the temperature is 106. Tomorrow and Sunday it’s supposed to be 107 and the weather gal said it’s going to be hotter next week. So holy cow. Anyway, I made a box confetti angel food cake for Rick’s birthday tomorrow. No I don’t need a kitchen stool. It’s not like I stand in the kitchen and make 7 minute frosting very often. It just was hard on my back doing all those dishes and baking today. I’m pretty much in pain 24/7. It’s just worse when I do things

I didnt have to use the hand mixer but Its on the top shelf in the shed so this was easier to get to.

I have a mixer but just used a hand held one today. You have to use a mixer to get the peaks stiff.
Oh Ardyth, so sorry about how hard the standing is on your back {{HUGS}} The cake is gorgeous 💗 It’s been a long time since i’ve had/made 7-minute frosting; it’s such a special treat, for a special guy 😋 I make something close to it; butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla’ then whip up 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and fold into the powdered sugar mixture. Not as good as 7-minute, but a pretty good 2nd choice 😘

My mom used to make this with the double boiler or whatever it was called. This recipe I found was easier.
I should of used the mixer with bowl that Rick gave me a couple years ago but I didnt think it would kill my back.

Just need 2 pans and one that fits into another pan put water in bottom pan bring to boil and you have a double boiler top pan you can then melt stuff in

Yikes, it’s almost 2.30; Chuck was going to get a melon and cut it up for me to bring to Rick today, but Chuck’s not back yet. 😟
Maybe just go on today and take him the melon tomorrow, unless he is expecting it.
