Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA
Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.
There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good afternoon. I have been reading the chat but I haven’t responded to anything. Sorry. I have been pretty busy this morning. I’d walked and of course it was hot. Right now the temperature is 106. Tomorrow and Sunday it’s supposed to be 107 and the weather gal said it’s going to be hotter next week. So holy cow. Anyway, I made a box confetti angel food cake for Rick’s birthday tomorrow. Yikes, it’s almost 2.30; Chuck was going to get a melon and cut it up for me to bring to Rick today, but Chuck’s not back yet. 😟
Maybe just go on today and take him the melon tomorrow, unless he is expecting it.
