Live Hummingbird Nest Cam – Oceanside, CA

Your watching a live broadcast of wild female hummingbirds nesting.

There are several Hummers that nest in this yard. Their nests are usually located bushes and no larger than the size of a golf ball. The nest is made from feathers, leaves and other parts of plant matter. She then wraps this material together with spider webs. The eggs she lays are about the size of a breath mint(tic-tac). Hummingbirds lay 1 or 2 eggs per clutch. You can expect to see them hatch after about 14-16 days from the date they are laid. Good afternoon. I have been reading the chat but I haven’t responded to anything. Sorry. I have been pretty busy this morning. I’d walked and of course it was hot. Right now the temperature is 106. Rick will love the cake e love that went in to making it. Bet it will be delicious. Good grief so sorry for your back. Would a kitchen stool help? I don’t know what position is worse for you.

Yikes, it’s almost 2.30; Chuck was going to get a melon and cut it up for me to bring to Rick today, but Chuck’s not back yet. 😟
