Over the years, Jackie and Shadow have become fan favorites as viewers watch them overcome storms, snow, heat, and the occasional raven or intruding eagle. Their nest sits more than a mile above sea level in the San Bernardino Mountains. Here, changing weather at Big Bear Lake can bring bright sunshine one day and heavy snow the next. she is in a facility 150 miles away getting all kinds of treatments. they think she has an illness not related to her fight with other eagles. we are all praying she gets better so she can return home

“Update on Bald Eagle patient 26-519 from Big Bear Lake Patient 26-519’s condition remains stable but critical as she remains in intensive care and receives round-the-clock supportive treatment. Our veterinary team is working to determine the underlying cause of her illness. She is currently receiving several prophylactic treatments to help support her body. After showing encouraging improvement following her blood transfusion, she experienced a setback on Saturday when her blood values declined again. Since then, she has improved once more. No new news on Jackie as of now 1:29 pm, Monday, July 27 , they think the female hanging around Shadow is the one that fought Jackie.. but to far away to see for sure.. Jackie is healing, but very anemic….. like the rest of you I am keeping an eye open on her well being,,,hope to hear something soon…❤️🙏🙏

I know bozsmom, I really miss Luna and Sandy. I think about them sooo much. Everything just seemed to happen at once. I worry about all of them, but I have to hang on to prayer and be hopeful.
