Early morning 12:30 a.m., read all your chats. I have had a lot going on with our family and some friends. Just found out two days ago that the couple we went with for dinner all the time will be moving in the spring because they have no family here at all and they’re moving to Oregon. They both retired this week from their jobs will be losing our dinner friends, and we are very close to them. It was a little hard to take, but I understand when you get the a certain age you need your family around;… Read more »

Great news that your wound is healing.🙏PTL
It will be sad to have your dinner friends moving away. I hope they can come back for a visit.

I know you will miss your friends when they move but communicating these days is so much easier than in the past, e.g. video calls, texting, social media, it won’t be the same but at least there is that….I’m glad you’re enjoying the pet sitting 🐕

Glad your wound is healing. There is still a lot going on with you and your family. ((HUGS)) Sure hope DDIL can get that foot taken care of. May need surgery to set it correctly. It will be hard on you for those friends to move. 💔 We had that happen, one of the few friends where both DH and I were friends with the couple moved to Florida. You keep in touch as best you can.

Today I went to the memorial service for a client of mine. IT was very nice. Also interesting because I ran into another client (i had forgotten they were related – actually, one referred the other to me) Actually the people I met were the children of the clients since in both cases their parents had been in assisted living and the kids were their POAs so I dealt with them the past few years. In one case I had never met the POA who lives about 3 hours away and have dealt with her via email, phone, and snail… Read more »

funny you communicate with someone for so long only to find out they are standing next to you…those squirrels can be a nuisance but fun to watch

Tea, happy birthday to your DD 🎂 You/DH must be so excited for the visit on Weds. It’ll wear you both out, but in a good way 💗 Chris, poor DH, scratched corneas do take time to heal 🙏 Quick update and thank you for your kind thoughts re: Marion’s back surgery 😘 It went well, she’s feeling pretty decent, and livid the doctors made her stay at least another day. PT will make sure she can climb steps before being released from captivity. She will have live-in help. In fact, we were laughing about how she needed as many… Read more »

Yeah, PT has to make sure she can do certain things first before release, or she goes to rehab.

I bet Seattle is happy! We really didn’t pay attention, but mostly knew to avoid the area because of traffic.

Good late morning…came home after petsitting and DH was here …forgot he has off today (Juneteenth)…he might mow unless we here from our helper but it’s kind of last minute to ask him. Tonight is cruise night and the art vendor /music downtown..maybe we’ll go and take Bane, we’ll see.

DH also has today off and is bummed that his vision is affected. He had hoped to finish a number of outside chores. He could still do them, but I don’t know if he feels up to it.

Chris, sorry your DH is still having vision problems.
He may not feel up to it, because some of those eye drops have side effects.

Good morning friends 💛 A mix of clouds and sun today with high temperature of 84° Temperatures in the low 80’s for the next week, which is normal for this time of year. Today is DD’s birthday .🎂 She will visit on Wednesday with DGD, DGS and DGGS. We will celebrate her birthday and Father’s Day. We have a toy for DGGS to take home with him. All three of our children had one similar and one of their favorite toys. I was surprised they still made them. Sit and Spin, but this one has buttons on top to push… Read more »

Took DH to eye doctor this morning. They said he had a scratch on his eye, but it must be different from mine because it didn’t hurt every time he blinked, and they didn’t give him a contact lens. His symptoms are blurry vision and dry eyes. They gave him antibiotic eye drops and some eye cream. He has to increase the font on his screens in order to read. It bugs him because it makes it harder to work. He has a followup later with a cornea specialist. Then I worked on emails to clients, entering some recently received… Read more »

😄 No problem here with dinner time. My DH is like a clock…..and 5:30 is dinner time no matter light or dark out.
Hope your DH’s eye will have good healing. Increasing the font size should help doing his work.
