This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.

Another extremely hot day. Bright sunshine a high temperature 101°. Thunderstorms this evening.
We had thunderstorms last night and lost power briefly. Jenny kicked in. Many still without power.
Inside picnic dinner….hot dogs, baked beans and potato salad. 😋

Strawberries topped with vanilla yogurt and blueberries. DH said it was delicious!!!

Today we drove down to Oregon to meet DD for lunch and visit for a bit. DD hasn’t been up to visit us for a while, so we just decided to do this. Traffic was awful, but manageable. It is about a 2 – 2.5 hour drive. We had a good visit. We were also able to deliver some things and take home some things. Fires still raging, but it’s staying west of I-25; I’m sorry/praying for them and very grateful that it doesn’t appear to heading this way. 🙏 Still around 100 degrees with single digit humidity; there’ll be a party when it starts raining on that fire 🎉
Watched the Cape Verde/Argentina World Cup match tonight 🏐 i was hoping CV would pull it off and they darn near did; it took OT for Argentina to prevail.

Good morning 💛 Sunny with clouds later in the day. A thunderstorm possible by evening. At 9:30 am our temperature is 92° feels like 104°.😮 Many outdoor activities have been cancelled…..just too hot. Philly will make decisions today to cancel some concerts, parades etc. scheduled for today and tomorrow. Emergency personal have been taking people to hospitals that were attending outdoor activities yesterday. This heat is so dangerous for anyone to be outside. Our wildlife is suffering too. Went to brunch this morning with DH, DBIL, and DSIL at our favorite breakfast spot – The Leaning Maple – the one with gluten free waffles. We introduced them to it and then they invited us to go together. Then we walked to the Farmer’s Market because they had never been there before.
