This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Good morning 💜 Thunderstorms again last night. ☂ Rain showers expected most of today. Our high will be 76°. Happy to have the heat wave gone. It was so hot the last 6 days. A/C needs a rest from running so much. $$$ Our electric rates have gone up, so electric bill will be extra high.;;🙄;;just like everything else.

Oh how I wish we would get rain has been partly cloudy today still temp was 93 , humidity is higher like 35%, should help all the fires around today there were 4 new ones in San Diego county,, the get them stopped in progressing. Then takes hours to mop up. DH just looked outside and there is so much smoke in the air. Must be from the Camp Pendleton fire.. They have them every couple days anymore..? They are more stubborn to get out…it started early afternoon and has already burned a 1000 acres..
I wish the rain would be where the wildfires are…..but Mother Nature is a bit off course. 😥
Guess the rain will cool things off also.
Good early morning.. like 2am..,,I got up to go to church this morning and got an e-mail saying the AC went out so they cancel church this morning,, First time that ever happen..so Idid my daily devotion and watch another Church service on line… We 98 Sunday.. stayed in nights have been cool wearing a sweater,, My head hurts off & on..but not bad.. at night I take a half pain pill to keep the edge off. The Aspen fire needs all the help they can get to contain the wildfire. Wonderful S. Calif. is sending help. 👍
Glad you were able to sleep. Crazy people around the 4th knowing how dangerous fireworks are when it is dry.
Church this am then lunch with some retired missionaries to Brazil. Home to take it easy, watch some YouTube, read some on the back porch, and then go to see the Movie “Young Washington” with DBIL & DSIL & DH of course. You should see it if you get a chance. It is the story of the early history of George Washington, mostly during the French & Indian War. Another quiet day. Good morning 💛 Heat wave has gone. Our high temperature today will be 91°. Thunderstorms this afternoon into the evening. Forecast calling for flash floods and possible 2-3 inches of rain in some areas today. Philly had to delay concert and fireworks due to thunderstorms….4 hours. Many of the acts did not stick around and fans were disappointed. Fireworks display ended about 2:30 am Most local fireworks were cancelled due to thunderstorms last night. A nice quiet 4th here. Hi Tea! I was complaining about the same thing; the music was just … not right. Boston Pops did it perfectly; they always match the music to the fireworks. I was in Boston several years ago watching/listening from the Esplanade. I remember when Keith Lockhart was hired, he was 35 and looked to be about 12; took over when Arthur Fiedler retired.

I agree about the music. One reason why I liked going to the local army base for their fireworks – the music both before and during.
Quiet morning – We had to dogs until about 11 or so when DBIL & DSIL came back from OR. I did do dishes and removed our old Christmas wreaths – took them apart so I could give away the wreath form to crafty people. Filled bird and squirrel feeders. DH met up for lunch with a friend from Oregon who was in the area since he has family here.
