This is a live feed of wild barns owls named the Lorton Meadows Barn Owls brought to you by the Dorset Wildlife Trust, United Kingdom. The male has a white chest and face. He usually shows up after dark but has spent an entire day with the female.
Good morning friends ♥ A little sunshine early with clouds and a few showers by afternoon. Driveway and sidewalks are still a bit icy. Should melt with above freezing temperatures later in the day.
Laundry will be the chore for today. (team work)
The EAGLES play the BILLS this afternoon.🏈 Eagles are a three point underdog…..a tough game to win.
Last night we enjoyed the delicious homemade lasagna DYS made for us.

Slept in today. DD left about 3 pm. Got pretty well packed up, but not everything – missed a few food items. And I found a gift for DD this evening that I had forgotten about. Maybe I’ll mail them off to her. Then did some laundry, decided I was done with Christmas cards, and ran some errands to Target and Michaels (craft store). Watched an episode of FBI and Matlock with DH. Made reservations at the Leaning Maple (gluten-free waffle place) for us and two other couples from church for lunch on Monday. Temps today 31 to 42. Hi Chris! That’s funny about finding another gift for DD; my Dad used to do that all the time. He’d get something early, put it in a ‘safe place’ and promptly forget til about February 🙄
We exchanged gifts to each other today, was to tired yesterday and my ankle was hurting’ ‘ was a little better today . I got DH a new tea maker and a train Puzzle. He got me a bottle of my favorite cologne. a nice sweater then opened gifts from our dinner friends’’ a lot of little things. DB/Rick’s using his new bathroom heater today; he sure makes things harder than they have to be — Lordy. He’s going to be so warm; their bathroom is about half the size of mine and i’m roasting by the time i step out of the shower and turn it off. There is an extra wall heater in our bathroom. I get it, because it is the colder end of the house. I turn it on when it is cold and I want to take a shower, but if I turn it on too high, then I am just sweaty taking my pills and doing my face and hair.
As soon as I get out of the shower, I turn that heater off and turn on the Vornado-fan i have in there 🙄 Sometimes i feel a bit schizoid; half the time i’m too cold, the other half, too hot. 🤔

Good morning friends ♥ More of a ice and sleet storm for us last night. Side roads are dangerous to drive on. Our driveway has a thin coating of ice. With no sun and temperatures below freezing all day….it is not going to melt. Thankful we do not have to go out anywhere. DH will sprinkle ice melt on the steps. Walking on the grass area is safe. I made gluten free pancakes for everyone breakfast today. We just each did our own thing today and so I worked on email, mail, and Christmas cards. Then went out to run errands – pharmacy to get prescriptions, UPS store to send an Amazon return (unrelated to Christmas), to Office Depot to get the desk calendar I like before they run out (they were actually 42% off), and then to the grocery store. We arrived back home this afternoon and unloaded the car before rain started.. I then went to Wound Care , on way home stopped to get burgers from a fast food place we used to go to every Friday while on Patrol.. First time I ever got a Cheese burger.. so good and juicy… We had a great Christmas and two lovely surprises, middle DGS called from Tokyo to wish us all a Merry Christmas.. was very short but sweet.
