Hello…watching the opening ceremonies, so beautiful…saw Alyssa Liu skate and looking forward to seeing Ilia, two of my favorites. My sister is in town, wants to go to the game tonight..she’s at our mom’s, will come here later today.
I love watching Ice Skating, I often watch the videos on YouTube of the couples skating, I love those the best but all the skaters are fun to watch.

Good morning, We are getting sun back today after a few rainy cloudy days. 28 degrees going up to 53, No beach weather for awhile ahead it looks like. I had a total disaster in the kitchen yesterday. I was preparing supper and I had set 2 dinner plates that I had taken out of the cupboard and placed them on the front burner on the stove while I had a pan warming up left over potato au gratin on the burner behind it. I love our flat top stove because they are so easy to clean.
I just do not like them, I like a lifted up burner so you can see better. Also I have to set pans down so carefully on the glass and our glass top has scratches you cannot remove. I use the Weiman complete glass cook top cleaner often.
I dont see any scratches on our stove top. We were told we can only use cerama bryte on ours

Thanks Ice. The plate mostly broke in big pieces, very little small shards of it on the stove. It had a plate on top of it which might have kept it from shattering into small pieces. Thankfully!
Oh no Jenn!!! I am so very sorry about your kitchen disaster yesterday. I hope neither of you were injured 💜 Is it possible to replace the two broken plates? When I broke some of my favorite plates I was able to get some replacements through eBay and Replacements, Ltd. Fiestafactorydirect.com might also be a source. What shade of blue were they?
They were a medium blue. Fiesta changes the colors periodically and I bought these in the late 90’s or early 2000.

Rick talked to our neighbor, Bob, down the street that lives across from the drug house. The mother of the house is from Texas and she was here a month ago or so I guess nothing happened. She told her husband that she couldn’t do anything about it he said well, I can and I’m going to Tucson. So he called Bob and said I’m coming To Tucson and I’m gonna kick everybody out and I’m gonna sell the house in 4 days and that’s exactly what he did. Wow, that is wonderful the drug house is closed to druggies!! Wonder why she left it abandoned for 10 years?

It wasnt abandoned…..The mom bought the house and her son lived in it and he was obviously a drug dealer and then many more people moved in and out…..so many people coming and going over the years and walking down the street, smoking crack behind the dumpsters….they trashed the house and yard from the outside so I can only imagine what the inside looks like.
Here is an example of the people that were in the neighborhood, he was just on the street in front of Gary’s house by us.
Many people called the cops all the time including us, nothing happened. There were many busts with cops and guns pulled. Bob found out who owned it and called her in TX to let her know what was going on in the house.
Very sad story indeed. I feel for the woman but she basically enabled the son to have a home he did not pay for so he lived like a bum. What a wasted life drug addition is.
We arent sure if she knew what was going on or not……..but, glad it was sold and will be fixed up and flipped now.
Really great news that the drug house is no more since it’s been sold. What a horrible situation that was and for so long!!

Good Morning! Freezing fog and 24 going up to 52.
Yesterday I took MIL-Joyce to her macular degeneration appointment. Joyce’s retina specialist treats both of her eyes every 7 to 8 weeks to preserve her vision. All checked out well so Joyce’s next appointment is April 7th.
Today I need to go grocery shopping and also do some laundry.
Five days ago on February 1st this is how our backyard pollinator garden looked like ❄️

Did laundry yesterday to get it out of the way since the plumbers will be here early this morning at 7:30 am.
I got everything out from under the kitchen cupboards below the sink. I am crossing my fingers hoping our bathroom are alright.
