Good morning…60s, cloudy, and windy now..will be in the 70s and sunny later, nice. Last night we used the buy one, get one, at McD’s and got fish sandwiches. Today I’m hoping DH will get home early enough and have time to take the dogs and we can walk them at the cemetery…he’s been getting home late and not much time before going to his dad’s. Good Morning! Sunny and 64 going up to 90 with breezy conditions this afternoon 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts.
This morning while the winds are calmer I need to water some plants.
Yesterday after Craig got home from work he prepared an area of pollinator garden that’s along the wall of our enclosed porch. Then he planted the two Vermillionaire Cuphea plants (from our Creekside Nursery order) in that spot. The flowers are a favorite of Hummingbirds. Here’s a pic of one of them.

You are correct about our scary fire conditions right now. The drought conditions combined with low humidity and winds is unsettling.

I think you know by now I clean the whole house weekly. I wash the kitchen floor every morning.
I just cleaned Tuesday, washed the kitchen floor yesterday morning again. It was SO gritty this morning….Roger rolls is the dirt and we try to catch him before he enters and wipe him off with a wet paper towel. I am thinking Rick wiped him down in the kitchen last night from the looks of the Swiffer pads and the grit on the floor.
I want to show you how dirty my floors get. The Swiffer pad on the left is the wet pad that I used in the kitchen when I got up this morning. The pad on the right is the dry one that I used in the kitchen and the living room, dining room and hallway this morning. Look how terrible my floors get living in the desert and having pets

Goodness you have to mop daily, that is a lot of upkeep. Pets can sure keep us busy cleaning up after them.🐕🐈

Good morning!!! It is chilly again this morning, 53° and it will be 86° later. It is also very dry here with chances of fires due to the winds we have been having. We were going to go our County fair tomorrow to see a band that plays AC/DC songs….we both like AC/DC. There is an early concert at 4:00 tomorrow only but, our fair no longer opens early. They open at 3:00pm Mon-Fri. We decided that is too late since we would like to look at the 4H animals and go through the buildings. Since they open so late… Read more »

That sounds like fun. I love County fairs with the animals and 4H exhibits that we have in Maine. Too bad they did not open earlier.
That is kind of pricey but typical now for fairs to up their prices for entrance and parking. 🙄
Our County fair isnt that great and the food isnt very good either. Its not like the Fair food shows we watch.
That is a let down considering the costs to get in.
I always liked the French fries with vinegar and fried dough.😋

That’s too bad the fair doesn’t open until 3:00 PM.
It is …they open at 11:00 on Sat/Sun but the band we wanted to see is only there Friday. And it’s the only early band.
I like to go to the 4 H fair here…see the animals, get a lemon shakeup and DH likes the tractor pull.
