Good Monday morning.
Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam.
Another sticky night I had put our so called summer Duvet back on the bed and half way during the night i had to remove it and just use an duvet cover again it was so hot.
Will have to research these so called cool blankets and see what people say about them.
Up early again 5-30 so breakfast is done time to pop out for the paper now.
It will be a cooler week but the hot stuff will be back the following week again.🙄.
See you all soon.😀😘

Good morning Ice,

Yikes, what a restless night for you having to get up and down changing the bedding. 😯
I haven’t heard of ‘cool blankets’ but they sound like they might be helpful.

Very Hot — 100 for most of the day 🔥🔥. Got the July b-day cards ready to go to the post office tomo; along with a couple get-wells. Actually 1 get well and 1 commiserating card for her caregiver 😄 We’re all good friends.
Watched Canada win and head to round of 16 🏐 a 1st for them; pretty stoked! I have a lot of Canadian friends 😘

Prayers for the firefighters; people/wildlife in the path of these horrendous wildfires 🙏
This sounds about right ↓↓

Sunday Afternoon Blessings! In the past couple of days I purged enough from the closet shelves in the spare bedroom to store our 6-qt slow cooker. I haven’t used it in at least two years. I didn’t include it in my donations I took to Matthews Help Center yesterday because I still hope to use it in the future for Slow Cooker Pulled Pork that we’ve made a number of times in the past and possibly other recipes that need a 6-qt slow cooker. Lately when we want pulled pork we simply buy it from family owned Rock Store BBQ… Read more »

The basket has a square-round shape so I also ordered some disposable air fryer liners compatible with this model.

Kathy, you’re going to like having an air-fryer! I use these same liners; only in the round. The liners keep the air from circulating as it should so i use tongs to turn things over about half-way thru a cycle when cooking chicken. It’s so much better than turning on the oven in the summer heat.

I’m looking forward to not have to heat up the big regular oven most of the time. Thanks for the tip about flipping the food halfway through cooking. Do the liners extend the cooking time?

No, the liners don’t extend the cook time. It’s a very noisy appliance 😄
i still like my George Foreman for turkey dogs/burgers

Hi Kathy
We have the same problem. We do not have the room in our kitchen cupboards for big appliances like the crock pot, food processor, blender etc. So they are in the shed on the shelves.
I bought Rick an air fryers two/three years ago but, no room on the kitchen countertops so it is in the shed too so it has only been used a couple times. Rick hasn’t given it much of a chance to see how he likes it because it isnt accessible easily and I think he prefers the traditional way of cooking

Yeah, we have a small kitchen with limited counter space. My dream kitchen would have a walk-in pantry where we could store appliances. I also wish I had a large enough kitchen to have an island.

Good morning, We have a little fog again this morning, it will be sunny by 9am. 62 going up to 79. Beautiful summer days now. Denny has a lot of work to do with the wiring in the new addition. He got the wire in the walls before they closed them off but he needs to do a lot even under the addition to tie it all together. It is not spacious under so a challenge for sure. He has bought all the stuff he needs for it and very thankful he can do it for what the cost of… Read more »

Another day of not doing too much. It was 90 by 9:00am i think and 105 for the high.
I did color my hair and wash a load of towels and watched my recorded shows.

Hi Ardy,
With your temperatures I would not be doing much either.
It would be hard to be outside for any amount of time. I often wonder how the animals survive such severe heat.😯
