Howdy-do Lovely Early Bird People 🐦 Got absolutely nothing done yesterday 😟 Kept telling myself tomo is another day, but then i don’t do anything on that day either. 🙄 Started raining yesterday afternoon and continued til about 5.30a. Took Rick’s car over to the shop to get the driver’s side window repaired. It tried to fall into the door panel several weeks ago; Chuck had to duck-tape it. Hi Jenn ♥ I’m not sure the birds were crows, but they looked like they could be and it was very noisy. This is the 2x that window’s been repaired; the 1st place charged $250 and obviously didn’t fix it properly; these guys charged $300 and it came with a guarantee. Good morning Roger is at the kitchen door meowing to go out…..it is 4:50 am and dark out. Michi wants out too. Roger wanted out yesterday but went back to the bedroom closet in the middle of the night and slept ALL day. I suggested we give him the pain meds just in case so we did. I dont think he is pain. Our bank has free monthly charges if you keep a certain amount in your checking each month. Maybe that is what your back is doing?
I was feeling the same about hamburger and we started to buy it from local farm markets and it is so much better. Between the antibiotics in the cows and the fill they put in at grocery stores it is not near as good as it used to be.
Happy to know Roger is on the mend and napping peacefully.

Very good news that Roger’s abscess area is healing.
Regarding hamburger meat from a regular grocery store, that’s why I go to The Fresh Market and pay more per pound than I would at regular grocery stores. The beef tastes so much better and has a better texture without all of the antibiotics and other additives.
I never felt this way about it but in the last few months I take one bite and cant eat the rest.
Maybe Nikki felt the same way as she doesnt want the hamburger balls with pills in them anymore.

Good Morning! Light rain this morning and 58 going up to 65 with breezy conditions (10 to 20 mph).
I need to get some groceries at Harris Teeter today to take advantage of Senior Discount Day. I’ll be buying some of the ingredients for Chicken Broccoli Rice Casserole. On October 5th my brother is scheduled for left hip replacement surgery. I’ll be providing this casserole for them sometime after Jim’s surgery (on a day off their choosing).

I think our rain and wind today is from the developing outer edges of the Nor’easter. The coast of NC will be impacted more than we will but I don’t know how much yet.
I hope that will be the case and you will not have much impact from this very BIG storm!💜

So do I. Craig and I didn’t have time to check out the garden areas beyond the arch. There was too much to see in the first part of the gardens before we needed to leave. We’re looking forward to additional visits to explore more of this residential woodland garden that they graciously allow free access to the public (except for when private special events are scheduled there).

Good morning, 46 going up to 67 with sunshine all day. A Nor’easter is heading our way coming up the whole East coast. We should start feeling the effects on Friday but more so on the weekend. Well, it is the season for storms. I did loads of laundry yesterday and made stuffed shells ( finally ) and I sent a bowl of them to a very nice elderly man who lives at the other end of our 4 units. Oh my goodness!! I certainly hope Carolyn’s daughter and grandchildren will be safe 🙏🏻 The Nor’easter is definitely concerning.
I knew Carolyn was concerned she was wringing her hands talking about them coming.
I just saw this information: Looks like it will be worse by far for Massachusetts.
Massachusetts is expected to bear the brunt of the upcoming late-September nor’easter compared to southern Maine, as the storm is projected to track just off the southern and eastern New England coast
That doesn’t sound good. Perhaps they will change their mind about coming this weekend 🙏🏻
I don’t know it has been planned for awhile. Their other daughter who lives in Oregon has been with them visiting since the 15th and it is supposed to be a reunion sort of I guess for this daughter in Massachusetts to come so they can all be together. I feel bad the storm is coming during this.

I can’t remember so much going on, I think I planned to make it and didn’t but maybe I have made it twice recently.
I do not use meat sauce just marinara and like having meatless meals when I can.

The Squirrel is visiting the sunflower hearts a couple of times a day now, must be fattening up for the Winter months. We have a few Green finches still visiting but only the occasional Gold Finch now. I have seen some news about Gold Finches getting hit with them bird Flu hitting numbers hard. Good late morning…DH is working out of town so won’t be here at lunch time to play with the dogs..and might get home late…I don’t have plans really ..my aunt and uncle stopped by..they are in town for an appt, and picked up my aunt’s Avon order…later my mom will stop by for a couple apples and for me to show her pictures, after her lunch with friends. It’s cool today, 60s..will warm up in a day or two.

You sure have a big change in your temperature today. We are in the 40’s at night suddenly and 60’s during the day. Normal for the beginning of Fall here though. Great walking weather.
The sudden weather change is a shock to the system but is welcome and refreshing 😊
