Good morning Fall is here but not in Tucson…..lol Rick called the Vet when he got up because Roger’s abscess changed overnight and was puffy and full. He was able to take him at 1:40 and they cleaned it out and gave him an antibiotic shot. When they came home and Rick opened the carrier of course he ran and then he was running all over the house with blood dripping everywhere, even on the bedroom carpet. UGH! He finally settled down and laid on the towel i put in the closet for him. He has been sleeping there since… Read more »

I had that with Sophie when she got a twig stuck in her cheek I pulled it out but within a few days it was infected and the vet had to treat her but it didn’t bleed like Rogers thank goodness , poor guy ! 😿

My only kitty I had years ago was the same. If I did not let him out when he wanted he would start running up the curtains which he had full of snags. Cry and carry on, I could not keep him in.🙀

Yes Roger will start to scratch our new couch if we dont let him out so it has a blanket on it now plus he pulls the kitchen door open but there is a security door so he cant get out.

This made me laugh but I know it isn’t really funny. They can be so strong willed. 🙄

Cute image Ardy!
Happy Fall, it does not feel like it for you yet but it sure does for us. Only 44 this morning and 40’s all week for lows and 60’s for highs!
Oh what a sight for you with Roger bleeding and running around. I hope he feels better very soon with the antibiotic shot.

aw, poor Roger…I know how it’s hard to keep some cats in, that’s why I understand my neighbor letting her cats out…I often have to
“babysit” them in my yard, though, trying to keep them from killing everything and pottying in the yard..and then I worry when one doesn’t go home for awhile..

It is very hard to keep him in! We wish he wouldnt go out at night …Rick tries to get him when he goes to bed…..he seems to get in cat fights.

cat fights would be a worry…my sister decided to keep one of her cats inside all the time..it took months to get him used to it.

Good morning, Yesterday morning I was in the shower and suddenly the coil to the showerhead started making a loud noise and it was jumping almost out of the holder. Thankfully I was almost done rinsing off and had rinsed my hair. Denny went out to turn off the pump which was mostly blasting air. Our well went dry! We packed up some food and other stuff and left for the apartment. We will go back and pack up more stuff today. Thankful it lasted as long since this is our second year of a severe drought many are losing… Read more »

Hi Jenn
Oh my!!! So now do you have to depend on rain to fill the well? Glad you were getting ready to move to your winter home.

Jenn
September 22, 2026 6:52 am

Yes, rain over time. It does not happen fast and how badly I feel for people who lose their wells now. They have to improvise with buying gallons of water and you can buy bigger containers of water. That is hard to wash up and harder to do everything.

Good morning.
Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam.
A misty and cloudy morning but it will get to 76F they say.
No sunshine today and very light wind again plus still no sign of any real rain here.It is that day again already….PRETZEL DAY.lol
Just rubbed some knee concoction in to see if that helps a little.
They do not feel too bad this morning but we shall see how they perform at Lidl’s.
See you all later.😀😘

What a night ⚡ ⛈⛈⚡ T-storm started around 11p, then we lost power about midnight, i did call the power co.; finally came back around 1.30a — still storming; thunder/lightning and RAIN. Slept about an hour then woke with a cramp in my leg; got back to sleep about 4a til about 7.30a. And poor Chuck, said he woke to pitch dark, there’s absolutely no light in the basement and his phone was on the charger across the room.
