Good Morning! Following a low overnight of 24, today will be sunny and cold with a high of 46. Looking ahead to the weekend, there’s a good chance of snow and a wintry mix here Saturday and Sunday. I’m not looking forward to that!! Neither Craig nor I can believe this but during dinner last night he broke another tooth. I feel so bad for Craig 😢 He will be calling our dentist office first thing this morning after they open at 7:00 AM. I need to go shopping today for some groceries. Tomorrow I am scheduled for my annual… Read more »
Hi Kathy.
Hope you miss the snow and wintry mix not welcome at all.lol.
What a great pic and he looks so comfortable bless him.😘
Thanks! In the 33 years we’ve lived here, on average our area gets a snow/ice event every other year. It’s been at least 3 years now since that happened so we are overdue for this. Actually, I just checked and the last snow/ice event was January 2022.
We had snow last year here, a foot I remember with ice underneath that was scary to walk on. There were no plows around at all because it is so usual I guess.
Hi Kathy!
That is too bad about Craigs tooth, poor guy!!!
Your weekend weather doesnt sound good, it still has time to change….hopefully.
We are predicted to get one inch of rain on Saturday.
Good luck at the Dr.
Cute picture of Matcha.
Thanks!
That is the nicest cat tree, they have a choice of what level to be on. Such lucky kitties to have you and Craig.💞
I believe all the Carolina’s are under the threat of this big storm likely coming our way this weekend. I am surely not looking
forward to it. It is a cold winter it seems.
So sorry for Craig breaking another tooth. So sad.💙
I hadn’t checked yet but I wondered if your area is included in this possible winter storm event.
Yes, they say it is.😯
Oh dear!! 😞
Thanks 💙
i really like that cat tree, ours is a smaller one.
Good morning. Beryl, Jenn, Ardyth, Kathy, Lynn, Pam. We are in for a wild and windy day gusting to 40 to 45 mph with heavy rain this afternoon.🙄. Picked on some early morning news on my phone of a serious accident on the main rd out of my town. The road was closed closed from 5am this morning police asking asking motorists to find alternate routes and believe me that will be small rural roads that will also get jammed up. I thought my morning trip through town would be ok…..Wrong… got a hundred yards out of the garage and… Read more »
Hi Ice
Goodness me about the serious accident that closed your main road. Were you able to eventually get your paper?
Hi Kathy.
Paper no problem we get that at the garage and any odd small grocery item we need.😘
Oh good!! 😘
Good morning Ice
That sounded like a mess on the roads. I hope the man is OK.
Sounds like you better batten down the hatches today!!!
Hi Ardy.
You bet the wind is so gusty around the garden it is finding old leaves from somewhere and depositing them outside the back door.😀😘
😫
Good morning Ice,
Wow, that is too bad with the accident and you having to turn around. No newspaper today I guess unless you go out later?
Sounds like a good day to stay inside with winds and heavy rain.😯
Hi Jenn.
It isa notorious black spot for accidents over the years, even with traffic lights installed there are still accidents there.
Paper no problem because the garage is just at the bottom of our road.
Used to walk there for the paper but our legs no longer function as well as they did.lol.
Rain just starting this afternoon along with that gusty wind.😀😘🌧
Congratulations to the Indiana Hoosiers on winning the NCAA college football championship 🤸♀️ 🤸♀️ 🤸♀️
16-0 Season
Going to watch the NCAA college championship football game; i’ve enjoyed watching the Hoosiers and their quarterback; not to mention their coach/Cignetti, is funny. i keep trying to catch him with a smile; think i saw a twitch that didn’t actually turn into a smile, still hoping. 😄
I-196 near Zeeland, Michigan this morning. 100+cars, a few injuries, nothing critical and no deaths — what a mess 😔
I cannot imagine being in the middle of a pile up like that. Such a blessing no deaths or critical injuries. Praise God.🙏
All those people were lucky it wasn’t worse. They probably weren’t driving very fast; thankfully.
Highway dept finally got both sides of the highway opened around 6p/EST
What a catastrophe bet that took some sorting out.😮😘
I heard about that. So thankful there were no critical injuries or deaths 🙏🏻
This picture is so very beautiful. Coastal Cherry Grove, S. Carolina
The end of a winter day in Cherry Grove can be absolutely breathtaking, especially when sea spray and light fog linger as the sun fades away.
What a gorgeous picture 🧡 Cherry Grove is where my family went when I was a child. We enjoyed that beach ⛱️
It is a beautiful place, I am happy you have sweet memories of going there as a child. 💖
Stunning picture.😮
oh I love that!
Kind of mystical looking.
Lovely place 😘
Good Morning! Sunny and 24 (feels like 19) with a heavy frost on everything. A high of 48 is expected.
I slept in until 7:30 this morning. Craig’s work has MLK, Jr. Day off today so he’s still in bed. Rightly so since yesterday Craig announced triple-header College Men’s Volleyball at Queens University.
No set plans yet for today. Time to feed the girls the rest of their breakfast. Then I need to fix and eat my oatmeal.
Good morning Kathy,
It is nice to sleep in some mornings. Craig must be tired after announcing the triple-header Volleyball games. 💙
I am making oatmeal this morning too, I like the old fashioned oats and I took out blueberries to thaw a bit.
Old Fashioned Rolled Oats is my favorite as well. I mix in cinnamon and top it with sliced banana and slivered almonds 😋
I like it with banana too, I should try cinnamon I haven’t thought of that before. 😘
That was a long day for Craig!
I rarely have oatmeal (raises blood sugar high but I have Bob’s steel cut oatmeal once in awhile, I do like it)
