Hi Gabi, I’m glad you are done with about everything. I think you are allowed the clear broth even after you are not allowed any more food. We are the same height, or very close, but you have lost a good amount of weight. I really didn’t notice feeling different in my bones until I got under 160 pounds (or 72.6 kilos) then my body started feeling weird to me. I never had watermelon and salt on it. When i will have another deep red and sweet one ‐i like those best, too- then i try a little salt on a piece, to see. I was just kinda worried about her dad back then and didnt understand why no quick medical help , because like that precious time went by. I remember the self diagnose and bringing dad back to bed. Hi Gabi. My feet are easy to get cold. Jo had lymphoma. For months they had much trouble diagnosing it and thought for a long time it could be pancreatic cancer. So many biopsies. One through the back. One down the throat, through the stomach wall. Still no diagnosis. Finally the surgeon cut her fron sternum to pubic, opened her up, explored, found the tumor and cut off a piece. It seems, that your medicare has better benefits than our health system. Ours was really great, many years ago. Yes, it WAS, but no more. And they are busy right now, to still change it to the worse. When i think of it: julies dad is in the nursing home for a good while now. If this would be over here, and people would not have a lot of savings, then people slowly needed to move outta their homes and sell them, to pay for it.
Our health system doesnt pay for glasses either. Good glasses are at least 1000 euros . People have to pay for it themselves. 😬😫.
I don’t know Julie’s dad’s circumstances. In this country the government does not pay for nursing homes unless a person has Medicaid. For most people this is hard to get if you have assets. But there are ways if you re-assign your assets. Some people put all assets in their children’s names so they have nothing, then qualify for Medicaid. But this can be hard to do.
Maybe he has medicaid then and assets are in his childrens names,who knows. Over here they would take the childrens savings and house then, to pay for their parents in the nursing home.
Did i get it right, that in usa people pay ALL the money for nursing home themselves ? Unless one has this medicaid.

Hello freundin, yes I had a very old and huge purple violet plant with dead branches and the stump was enormous and it’s finally gone. I’m planting more lavenders in that area, they do well with the climate here and minimum maintenance. Do you have any indoor plants?
Right now i have an “adopted ” rose-plant, the folks from bulgaria are on holiday in their home-country and i take care of their rose.
Otherwise i dont have any indoor plants.
I am surprised that lavender is doing so well in pnw climate.
I know lavender from hot and dry southern france, the provence.
But then again, it grows around here, too.

I’m doing really good these days. I’ve made a big improvement just recently, like the last month. I got put on an additional medicine for rheumatoid, I think that is the reason because it happened fairly quickly. I’ve lost a lot of weight, but I think if that was the main reason it would be more gradual, like weight loss is gradually. I was put on the new medicine about 3 months ago, and the improvement was really noticed about a month ago. Thank you ML. The weight loss was slow in that it took14 months, but fast in the fact I lost 105-110 lbs in that amount of time.

Yes, balancing little treats with veggies. Not tolerating it, when weight wants to go back up. Immediately working against it. Maybe an “apple day”. Eat 5 or 6 apples a day and drink a lot of water. My sister Tina will be 67 next month. She lives between 1.5 – 2 hours drive from me. I’ve only been to her new house once since she got it. The farm is nice. They grow a lot of different things, not just vegetables, but soe flowers, and they raise and sell their own beef. I don’t know where the cows are, the part of the farm I drive through is vegetables, some flowers. That is a great way to raise chickens. It is an easy test to have. i am still very tired today. I think I will look into buying an oxygen tester, the simple kind that fits on your finger. But when I go to most doctor offices they test the oxygen and never tell me it is low. Rheumatoid doesn’t do that, just weight and blood pressure. Thank you debbie, i have no worries about my heart any more. I had heart cath, a heart echo, echo of my carotids, now the 24 hours- ECG, tests were good and i take the statins now. I think that i am good and i hope it stays that way. Soon i will have a colonoscopy, they had removed a few polyps last time i had it and now they check it again. Oh joy ! I don’t think I’ve had the 24-hour ECG, nor the carotid echo, but my cardio always listens to the blood flow there with the stethoscope. I think she could tell if there is a need for the echo there. The carotid echo shows , if there is any plaque in the blood vessels. Its important, to see even little possible plaque, because then it could be in the coronary vessels, too. We are lucky compared to other nearby counties. We have the largest impounded lake in the eastern half of the country. Impounded means created by a dam on a river, usually for flood control. One side of the dam is the lake, the other side is the river called Cumberland River. There is a fish hatchery and campground there, where we have camped.
