@ML♦️WA I was wondering again about your back. I understand basically you have a slipped or cracked vertebrae, seems they would know which one? They seem different to me. Are symptoms and treatments different than for a bulging disc? So basically now you are only have occasional PT? Hope you aren’t having the pain now.
That’s the thing I do not have pain on my back, I never had the only reason I requested those tests was because the two times my leg won’t let me walk. If I’m experiencing pain it’s only in the center of my right buttock, I think they said is more Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Pain, I thought was sciatica but they didn’t use that term for my issue. No bulging disc only one crack and some slipped… Quite interesting for me… Thank you for thinking of me. 💗
I’m glad you are not experiencing pain in the back but you do want your legs not to work! Could be when you do certain work that the vertebra shifts ever so slightly but just enough to put pressure on a nerve to your leg? Of course that is just speculation, me trying to make sense of it. I think it is Gail at Decorah that speaks of pain in the butt. It is caused by a muscle I forgot the name. It starts with a P and stretches horizontally across the back part of the butt. I did some… Read more »
Hi Gabi, it is evening for you already, you are probably either cooking or eating something healthy. I had jobs to do yesterday and a job today to do. They both needed doing. I have periodic shortness of breath and couldn’t do these jobs and ride the bike. So I’m having to not do it yesterday and today. I will really try to get it done tomorrow. But on the flip side, if my jobs are tiring me out like this I probably don’t need the bike as much, I’m getting exercise anyway. Hope you have had a good day.… Read more »
Debbie, hi !
I was gone all day today, got back not very long ago. Hubby had a heart ct scan , to see his coronary vessels. Not perfect, but nothing else needed to be done.
I just had some leftover beans and spinach.
Yes, dont overdo with jobs and bike. What jobs did you have to do ? Nosy me…
Yes, couch right now. Enjoy your evening, sweetie.
I am falling asleep typing….. good night sweetheart.🥰😘. Love and kissy.
I’m glad hubby didn’t have anything bad on his scan. It is hard for anything to be perfect! I think your husband is more than y0, but bet he is healthy. He eats your healthy meals. You must have eaten late! ‘Today I worked cleaning floor fans. Take apart, clean blades, protective cage, use air compressor into the motors, now I’m oiling, letting the oil sink in. I will run the fans, then oil some more, the repeat until enough oil works inside. The fans are only 18 inches tall, but heavy for me and hard to manipulate and clean.… Read more »
He had some plaque in his carotids -not very much- , but thats why he did it. He takes statins, too, since a little while. Health insurance doesnt pay for ct scan of heart. Hubby pays for it. His back and knees hurt, too.
He is careful with what he eats. And yes, eating late today.
Oh, this is an ordeal, to clean those fans, yikes.
Nite, habibi and love.😘.
Bad insurance doesn’t pay for a heart scan! That is important! If the statins cause muscle aches, there are non-statins on the market now. I may be put on a non-statin in August.
Good night. You gotta sleep! No more post!
All the regular health insurances (we have several different ones in my country ) dont pay for it. No muscle pain.
That is strange considering the importance. But we have strange things to. I had to have a heart Cath before insurance would pay for the ablation. Everyone knew I needed the ablation, so insurance then had to pay for both.
Not needed stuff is done and important things are not done.
Crazy mess.
My eyes just closed and i wrote stuff like : >/@%”,?, lol, like julies jade sometimes does with her paws. I love you sweetie, time for my bed.
Are you ok ? Had a good day ? Breathing ok ? I think of you .🥰😘.
I’m doing fine. 😆 Yes time for you to sleep! Good night Gabi Habibi. Sleep good see you. Love you.
🥰😍😘💗💟.
Hello all and P…
Hello!😁
No, PPP…
Lol.😄
Puffy pregnant prince of Wales, lol.
😉
Gabi did you see my post to you above with the 12:39 time? It is not a reply so if you use the bell it will not show you that post.
I just tried to find it . Not sure if i saw it. Will go again and look. 😘
…yep, saw it now…🙂.
Lovely, thank you ML.😘.
😘
Hi ML. Thanks for the video. I wonder about those bags. Hope your back isn’t giving you fits.
Hi Debbie, all good… How are you doing?
I’m tired. I have been cleaning fans and that is a chore. Now I need to blow out the motors with the air compressor and that is hard to get set up. Then oil the heck out of them.
Oh wow that’s quite the cleaning, just be careful, are those ceiling fans?
No they are 18 inch high velocity floor fans. They are awkward to clean and not get water everywhere and on the heavy side for me. I couldn’t clean ceiling fans because I couldn’t go up a ladder. It is difficult and I am a fall risk just to step up on a sidewalk unless I can use the car for leverage and balance. I am doing two fans now, starting with prying off the cover. I’ll do 2 more another day, one of which is 20 inches and takes a screw driver to get the cover off.
Oh I see, they can get very dirty, but they will be ready for hot temps. 😘
Yes, I need them now! It is 85 in the house but “only” 61% humidity. I need a breeze.
Hello..just stopping by…posted below about chiros and so sorry about Gabi’s pain, I have been through it for sure. Hope you all have a nice day.
Thanks lynn, have a good week, too.
Thanks Lynn, you as well!
Boy hard to take a pic without a chub in front… LOL!
Take care, Smackers!
Aaaaw, the looky looky downs. Nice picture, ML.💜😘
They are cute! 😘
Just to let you know I’m thinking of you Habi. Hugs and love. 🥰♥️
Sweetheart, i know. Thank you so much. I am ok. I was just on my sofa last night, trying to relax my back. No sitting and typing. You know what ? They opened up the dead whale now- timmy- and checked for reasons why it died. They didnt find too much, it is already rotting. Typical for my country, waiting, waiting, ….they could have done it while it was still “fresh”. But they found out one thing : timmy was a girl. 👩🦰🐋😃. Have a good day debbie. I sure hope that things are good with you. Healthwise and in… Read more »
Good afternoon Gabi. I am sorry about your back and hope you can do something to help it not hurt so much. I have had two episodes with my back, both very painful but temporary. The first one my doctor gave me a pain killer and muscle relaxer. I got better quickly, I thought it was the muscle relaxer that helped more than the pain killer. I don’t think I took many of either. ‘The second one I had sciatica. I went to a chiropractor and had just one treatment and the pain left. But I knew how bad a… Read more »
Since i dont tolerate some painkillers (allergy), it is a bit difficult. I have had lumbagos since dd was a baby. Seen doctors, but no real help. It gets better after a while – like after days, weeks. Agree with the timmy. German decision makers waited too long, AGAIN. At first they said, that moving the whale could “harm” it, they better leave it alone to die (slowly). WHAT!!? And the whale’s death is no harm ?? This discussion was going on for more than 3 weeks, while the poor thing was just left out there stranded. Visited by boats… Read more »
Good afternoon Gabi. I’m sorry about this chronic back pain. It seems so many people have varying types of lower back problem. Have you ever tried a simple back binder to prevent the pain, especially when you anticipate a certain activity may cause your back to hurt. I think it is like putting an ace bandage on an ankle or knee. It helps to support, hold muscles, ligaments, tendons in place, maybe vertebrae from shifting. I think it is so bad what those people did, or did not do, to Timmy. Maybe big egos got in the way. Common for… Read more »
Havent tried a back binder yet, my hubby once had one after his disc prolapse surgery many years ago. My pain mostly comes from some weird tiny wrong move, when i sit. Right now, this towel-roll in my back helps ,while i sit. Oh well, it will go away again. Thanks for all your help. Well, RIP, poor timmy – girl.🐋🥀. We saw dd yesterday for a while, it was nice. She starts a little diet now, to get rid of a few pounds for her summer holidays. 😁. Gotta get going….love.😘 Good morning my dear and have a good… Read more »
Good afternoon Gabi. It is good your daughter tries to loose weight when it is just a few pounds. Doesn’t take so much time and healthier. Sometimes a sports medicine and rehab doctor can help with chronic pain. When I was in my 40’s I was sent to one. I had a bad knee, not just osteoarthritis. My left knee offset in the direction of the right knee. The doctor prescribed for me a massive brace, starting in my shoe, up my leg and strapped on with Velcro in my upper thigh area. The calf of my leg was encased… Read more »
Oh no, these braces sound terrible. I remember that you had once mentioned them. Oh you poor debbie, you went thru a lot with your knees and feet. I think we do have such a sports and rehab doc in my area. I will keep the things you said in mind. Also the binder. Sorry about julies father. I havent been at bellas to read. I just hope for her dad and for julie, that they can still see each other before its too late again . I wish she would go visit him. Sigh sigh…. Sweetie, i hope you… Read more »
I was not happy with the pain or brace but one helped the other. I was glad to have the knee replacement and get rid of that brace.
i hope you sleep well dear Gabi, with peace in your heart. Love you and see you tomorrow.
I can imagine that you were happy, to kick that braces butt.
Love…
Oh how cute! You found a Habibi gif! I like it! Thanks.
Off now, love you honey.
You got another one! 😄
Almost forgot: the polyp, i had, was good. Got the result today. Thank God.
Wonderful Gabi! You would have heard sooner probably if it was bad. Jo had I think an xray one day and they were calling her to the hospital early the next day. The radiologist himself saw her and showed her the mass on the film.
Oh poor jo. This must have been so shocking. For you, too. Honey, i didnt have much time today. Bought a new pair of jeans -brownish, like sand- colored, and a new top. Washed it and it is almost dry already. Had it outside. I like it , to dry stuff outside, then it smells like fresh air and wind. I spent hours on the phone today, trying to make a dermatologist checkup appointment later in the year. Nobody there in the dr’s office picked the phone up, then finally… Going to bed, sweetie. Are you well ? Hope all… Read more »
Hi there Gabi, I like this color means you bought. They will look nice with a lot of different colors. You have to hang clothes I think on your balcony I think? That is so bad to need to spend so much time to make an appointment. One of my doctor offices is hard to make an appointment. Usually we call and get voice mail and have to leave a message. So,etimes they call that day, sometimes the next day just to make an appointment. But we don’t have to call over and over. I have a dermatology appointment in… Read more »
Debbie, i am so tired, so i will answer in a short way.
I hang clothes on my balcony.
I even drove to a doc office for making an appointment, because no one picks the phone up.
Found a handwritten note on the docs door : sorry closed this afternoon. Grrrr.
I had already said it in another post: dont overdo working and bike.
Now good night, will go to bed NOW. Love you, too. Sleep well.
Good grief, docs office should have an answering system with a voice announcement they are closing if it is during a time they are usually open.
Some do, some dont. It is a challenge here, to call places. Takes forever. Those idiots.🙄😬.
I am glad, that you are not in permanent back-pain. Oh yes, sciatica can be so bad. My poor sweetie, glad you are well with that now. Chiropractors are not so common here. Health insurance only pays for it, when it is a real doctor, who has the additional qualification “chirotherapie”. Others you pay yourself and often for nothing. There isnt a “real” one (doctor, too) anywhere around here. Most of it is wellness stuff, which i would not trust. My passed best friends neighbor died after such a visit. The chiro did something to his neck, a blood vessel… Read more »
In the US chiropractors do not have medical doctor status but earn a doctor’s degree in chiropractic. Most get a BS college degree then 4 years of chiropractic training. About the same number of years for a basic MD degree. They have to pass a national board test to be licensed. They also have to have continuing education courses.
Hi Gabi and Debby..yes, the chiros take all the same medical classes as an MD and then chiro on top of that, takes a long time…the methods they use around here are very safe and gentle and we have several here, all good. I was cured of sciatica and more…couldn’t walk and severe pain..my DB was cured of his vertigo (couldn’t work) and it can cure many health problems…I still want to go, it’s been awhile..DH is going to see if our insurance covers it…sometimes I have mild knee problems and it will help with that…can also help if you… Read more »
also when I go, I have her use the activator, a hand held mechanism that is really gentle, on my neck..also for my knee, works great! I have also gone to her first for medical advice, like I said she’s had all the Dr classes plus some…and then she gives me advice or tells me where or who to go to..most also have massage therapists there and you go before or after the chiro treatments…and mine has a roller thing that she has used on my back, so relaxing I almost fall asleep, lol
The activator, a spring loaded tool, shall be more gentle. I googled it.
When i have different health problems, then i go and see different specialists. I do this on my own with my own decision, or i ask my family doc who is also an internistic doc and cardio.
As we can tell, everybody has her own ways, to handle her health.
I am glad when you are well, lynn.
yes, it’s gentle, I think that is what was used on my DB when he had neck issues.
I can imagine the good cure of vertigo, when it comes from the inner ear. There are ways to position and turn a person to and fro, to get those little otoliths in the vestibular system back in order.
Some things just need additional help with certain medication, and surgery is sometimes the only way to help and cure things.
But it is good for you when your chiro can help your personal health problems. But with internistic problems, you should go and see a real doctor.🙂.
I just meant that I do ask her questions about things that most don’t even know that you can ask a chiro…she’s had all of the medical classes that med. Dr. have had…a lot of people don’t understand chiro, that it can help lots of health issues but she would definitely tell anyone to go to a different Dr or specialist or if she can’t work on someone. and I’m just saying that it’s not just for back, leg, foot, neck, ankle pain, etc…I have a book of cases where people have been helped or cured from all kinds of… Read more »
I agree, changing the eating can help a lot.
I like natural things, too. I like ” clean eating” , organic food, simple things. But when it comes to medical stuff, i want conventional medicine and treatments, as little pills as possible but as many as really needed. I sure dont need many pills, thank God.
Seems different in the usa. Seem well educated. Like i said above, there might be “real ones who are also a doctor” over here, too, but i wouldnt know where. Not around here . It is not really my kind of medical help either. I am not saying that it cant help, but maybe rather minor things? When there is bad arthrosis and people need knee or hip replacements , or like my medulla was squeezed in my neck, or BAD disc prolapse , then the chiro can work around all he wants, he will not be able to cure… Read more »
it’s required here, that’s why they are called Drs..it can help more major things but of course people need to do what they feel is best and I realize there are different opinions on it. I was in very bad shape, severe, not minor, and that’s what I did. Often people have been able to avoid surgery by going to a chiro first, she/they will tell you if they can’t help and advise you on what to do..sorry you have had those problems, hope you are doing well now.
Oh yes, people have different preferences. The things i had mentioned, were examples, but i did have squeezed medulla, there was no other way but surgery. Went well. I have knee arthrosis, cartilage is almost gone. I didnt have knee replacement yet, but what would a chiro do then ? He cant put new cartilage in there either. Oh my !😁. Bone is rubbing on bone without the cartilage and creates pain. He could twist and turn and manipulate my knee, use his activator all he wants and there would still be bone rubbing on bone….ouch.🙄 My DH had a… Read more »
I don’t know..I know it can help to prevent some things though..and there are nerves going from the spinal cord to organs…sorry you’ve had all these problems.
I agree, preventing things is possible, activating, too. But when something is totally messed up, then even a chiro might not be able to really help any more.
Lynn, i guess we all have problems coming with age.
May the Lord protect us from really bad and life -threatening things.
That is a sad story.
OMG, so sorry freundin! 💙
Thank you freundin.
How are you and yours ? Did your grief brighten up a little bit , hopefully ? How is the house and all its disorders ? Grout ?
Take care.😘
Grout still an issue, searching for another sealant. GRRR!
Oh no! still…..😵💫.
😡PITA!
Grrr.
I hope, i didnt write too much boring stuff in my other long post further below.🙄😳.
Never. Not possible.
Lol, oh boy !😁
Agreed!
Good morning ML. Everything ok in your world?
Morning, Debbie! So~So… Gate issues that I can not figure right now. GRRRR! Health good except that reading about back and sciatica issues reminded me of my spondylolisthesis… LOL! But getting old is not for wimps. 🙃 Well sometimes… 😬
Gate issues? Oh dear ML, I had not heard that medical term before but sounds very painful. Have you had it a long time? All that rock moving, pulling, truck fixing? I hope there is a non-surgical treatment. Maybe traction? An inverter table?
Well let me tell you, I had two scary episodes while just walking my right leg won’t move one back in 2013 and another one in 2018 just like that never an issue of any kind, then I wanted to know the why so I had to be evaluated first with FT, MRI’s, X-Rays and facet shots that didn’t help, finally they concluded this interesting name for my condition of a crack on a vertebrae. They can not tell me if I was born with it, from doing sports for many years or from a fall. Today I manage the… Read more »
So what are you doing to manage the pain? What is FT? If I read right you have a protruding or slipped vertebrae, sorta poking out. Seems traction would help that.
Oops typo, PT.
😄. I make a lot of those.
😫, well you are not alone.
Nice to have company.
😘
😁nest time, lol.😘😘.
Silly girl. I’m about ready to do a food drop for my resident “not an eagle”. It won’t be a fish or a bunny.
Mac and cheese.🦜😁, naaah, of course veggies, too. I know…
He got this barley, different kinds of rice, grains, carrot mix. Then he got sweet potato, turnip, mac n cheese, mashed potato, carrot.
He is eating better than i am, lol.
He eats better than me too! At least more different things.
You feed the green man well, debbie. And he seems to like it and stuffs it inside his crop as big as a walnut.
When i was young, i had a hamster. It was named “biter”. My mom used to say that his brain was like a small nut. Like a hazelnut.
Biter was a crazy little guy, lol.
If he looked like that he was very cute.
He did.😃.
Bed exercises mainly.
When I looked up that long word dx it talked about a protruding or slipped vertebrae and also a cracked vertebrae. Are you following up with a spine doctor? I sounds like something to me that could be dangerous if it slipped more. I would not want fusion either, but way better than too much slippage that could cause paralysis. I’m probably not seeing your exact problem based on what I read so I may be over thinking it. It also says it usually responds well to treatment.
Oh I hear you, what they told was you will know when you would choose the surgery, when basically you are crawling on the floor unable to stand and a pain that you won’t tolerate at all but not right now. They said that a vertebrae did slipped and cracked maybe the degree it’s not a huge concerned yet. I did saw a spine doctor and mention at the time the spine fusion. I’m thinking of seen another spine doctor that does this other less invasive procedure, a relative had it done recently, I’m looking forward to see this other… Read more »
Good idea to see this new doctor, they are discovering new ways of doing things now. My hip replacement was a new technique and much easier than it used to be. It will be good to not have this pain if it can safely ne corrected. Plus it is even more important to prevent it from getting worse or dangerous. Get in to see the new doc ASAP.
Agreed and will do.
WAY TO GO!
A second opinion is good.
Nite nite freundin.
Bed exercises ? Can be fun, lol. 😉😊🤓😅.
Just joking….💜🌱.
😂
😁
😊
I remember that you had said, you might one day need some surgery like i had. Oh poor freundin. Your problem doesnt sound so good.
But hopefully not getting worse. 😘
Thank you freundin, I pray too for this issue not to get worse for me, I had X-Rays taken last year wanted to know after 6 years of my diagnosis how the crack was today but they sad that it show almost like my first X-Rays. 🙏
That is so very good, freundin, that this weird crack didnt get bigger. May it stay like that !😍😘.
I’m trying to be good with my body movements and to wear a good shoes, posture, etcetera… The main thing to avoid for my condition is to lift heavy things… PITA!
You do well with taking care of these things….and then comes a big heavy bush and a stump, …be careful !
We didn’t lift the stump, it was easier to rolled it onto a folding dolly with wheels and rolled the whole stump.
