I wonder, if the strokes are still from the surgery. Maybe small, detached leftovers of the stuff they removed ,went further up to the brain with the bloodstream ? This is a risk , when they do this kind of surgery.
I am glad, that chuck and pam care so well and call the hospital or rehab directly, to get first-hand info. This could and should be a good example for others, who dont do this. Sigh.

Oh Wow I knew it was bad in Germany but I didn’t know it was that bad. The smoke is bad for your health you should wear a mask when outside. I know you like windows open but they should be closed when the smoke is at it’s worse with AC on. I know a lot of people don’t have AC, it has to be bad for them. I know Pam is really stressed out. Rick had the second stroke Tuesday night. The rehab asked Chuck to come and spend the night, then were going to discharge Rick and Chuck would take him home. They prepared for his homecoming and planned a special meal. Apparently this stroke was that very night with Chuck there, in the room. I don’t know if Chuck knew when he had the stroke or was aware in the morning. But they took Rick back to the hospital, did a CT and found the 2nd stroke and put him in ICU.
Gabi and ML. I heard from Lin! She is ok. She has had back problems and soon is having steroid injections. She had a lot of fence and gardening work done, hired it done, because she couldn’t do it herself because of her back.. Has planted stuff for Monarch’s, hummingbirds, bees, birds and has several of those in her yard. My emails were going to her junk folder and she didn’t look there. So she took her iPad to a shop to learn how to fix that. I know what happened though and why. She was worried about identity thief… Read more »

Yes, i had went to bed earlier last night. Hubby was already gone, when i started cleaning this morning. He always is gone early. I do not tolerate these high temps well. I understand about the high temperatures. They said in the US we had the highest average temperature in US history. The record from 1936 was broken. That was the “dust bowl”. There was a big exodus from farmers out west to another area of the country because they could not raise their crops. I really don’t know the history. They made movies about it. From Bella: Last night the bathroom sink plunger got stuck in the sink and of course the water couldn’t drain. I tried to get under the sink to look, even got a small chair. But holding my head down like that made me dizzy and I made it back to my recliner and actually felt nauseated for a brief time. I will start with my cardio. My primary doctor thinks it comes from the heart. It is not such a bad problem, the bending over, but it does make it hard to do some things. Yes Ricky is very good. He is educated more than just electrical/ plumbing to have worked in the state system. I think I may have been wrong, instead of the school system I think it was the penal system. In the nearby town of Columbia, where I lived 2 years in the late 70’s and went last week to the farmer’s market, they built a juvenile delinquent prison. I still think about the scooter. I am a lot better now and can do more. But there are still things that would still be hard or not very feasible. Anything that requires parking at a public event and walking a good while. Maybe need to carry a lawn chair, small cooler for a day long event. Something like a big flea market or vendor fair. For now, I just think, no action.

I could probably manage with the walker but not walking very far. I would get a bag chair. These fold up and go into a bag. The bag usually has a strap and you can carry it on your shoulder. somehow I thought your building had a basement and 2 floors, and you were on the top floor. The chairs are very easy to unfold and it is all ONE piece. You don’t put the pieces together they are all connected. It is easy to fold too. Some small tents like vendors use at outdoor things are made with this kind of technology.

The hydrogen cars have only water vapor for exhaust. But it still is an expensive technology. And production of hydrogen only makes sense , when done with green energy.

I think it is hard for most people to maintain a strong relationship between 2 continents, especially if they are common people with average jobs and income. Computers were not quite mainstream and owned by most people. Cell phones were not common either. Long distance telephone use was expensive. You are a smart, good woman, and you did the best thing for everyone concerned, including yourself. A good role model for your daughter. I don’t know what I would do. I don’t think I could forgive if I couldn’t convince my real self. I would have to really feel it. I can control what I do, my actions, what I say, how I act.
